I know it’s not as cold here this morning as other places around the country, but 62 degrees is starting to get right down chilly for us that survived the 115 degree temperatures of just two months ago. Scarves are pretty big around this time of year because it’s not too cold for a jacket, but there is just enough chill in the air that warrants a scarf.

I have three that I rotate through the fall season, but I’m getting another one in the mail soon! I ordered a pashmina and it should be arriving any day. Every pashmina shawl at Pashmina International is genuine cashmere and silk and will feel so good around my neck. Just look at the gorgeous colors of the autumn pashminas they carry.

Oh I can’t wait for mine to come. I’ll take pictures and write a post when I get it of course! Do you were scarves in the fall? What’s your favorite kind?

I wrote about getting the new AC/DC CD Black Ice back on Sunday and it’s just a jamming rocking CD that makes me feel like I am back in 1979 again. But look what I found online this morning at Geekologie!

As a teenager I never really had an issues with acne, but my brother had it pretty bad, and now my 14 year old is going through it. Hopefully it’s just a stage for him and he will grow out of it once puberty is all settled in and done doing it’s thing. Proactiv works pretty good for him, and I’ve read about Triclear working good too, although it’s spendy.

I get the occasional adult pimple that sprouts out right before I have somewhere important to go to, but I just slather on the Mint Julep Masque and it clears my face right up. It also scares the hell out of my cats too. BOO!

Wouldn’t it be all kinds of sucky if all these cracks were real wrinkles on my face?

It’s been 4 years now since we’ve had our palm trees cleaned and they were looking really rough and so ugly. So bad that random tree service guys would knock on our door and ask if we’d like them cleaned up. LOL!

It’s a really expensive service, and the taller the palm trees are, the higher the cost goes up. We have 7 total in our yard, but the 5 that run along the wall in the backyard are the tallest. The other two are fairly small still and we can easily clean them with a step ladder.

Last week another random tree service guy knocked on our door and said he’d do them for $80, so we jumped at that offer. The only catch is, he didn’t do the removal, so we have them bundled on the side of the house and per our trash company we can take 5 bundles out per trash day. Doing the math in my head, we should have the bundles out of here by Thanksgiving. HA!

Here are the before and after pictures. Just look at how much more sunlight comes through to our backyard now! All I need now is some discount furniture for the patio, so we can enjoy the sunshine.

I just can’t leave my hair alone. The color is bugging the crap out of me (although I have forgotten that it will fade out to a lighter color in a few weeks) so what did I do? Well I chopped it off so I could have bangs.

Yes, the same bangs I’ve been growing out, chopping off, growing out, and chopping off for almost my entire life it seems like. My hair stories and pictures would make great promotional items for some hair product company because I’m certain that I have used almost every.single.one out there in my 40 some years. With good and bad results of course.
