I’ve been slammed at work, and trying to get everything done before we leave for the weekend. We’re going camping, YAY! I got my test results back on Monday, and everything is good. No bad cancer, YAY!

So just a YAY YAY YAY to everything and everyone, and have a great weekend.

Simple Human - Fingerprint-Proof Trash Can

Since I have teenage boys that I had to keep reminding that Mother’s Day was today, I went out and bought myself a gift, from them. You know, to save them the trouble, right?.

I got a new kitchen trash can. Oh this isn’t just your ordinary trash can! It’s a Simple Human - Fingerprint-Proof Rectangular Step Can. It is by far the sexiest trash can I have ever seen, and I stimulated the economy all right.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers out there that bite their tongues, hold their arms back from knocking the living shit out of your children, and still wake up in the morning with so much love in your heart for them, that you think it’s going to burst.

Fancy Ass Cupcakes

We stopped at The Cupcakery today to check them out. I’ve heard great things, and I just had to try them.

There are so many kinds, and I wanted to try them all, so we got a dozen to take home. We’re going to ignore the $30/dozen price tag for a minute and talk about how absolutely del.icio.us they are!

Back row left to right:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup - Rich chocolate cake topped with crunchy peanut butter frosting.
Tickle Me Pink - Our signature cake: classic white cake with pink vanilla buttercream frosting.
Boston Dream - Moist yellow cake, Bavarian creme filling with a cap of chocolate ganache.

Strawberry Shortcake - Layers of moist strawberry and vanilla cake topped with a layer of strawberry buttercream and topped off with a dollop of rich heavy cream frosting.

We both ate a Boston Dream in the car before we left the parking lot, and Michael and I shared a Kir Royale (moist raspberry cake drenched in a bubbly champagne frosting).

As hard as it is to imagine spending $30/dozen on cupcakes, that image just melts away in your mouth, and you forget all about the price tag. They are just FANTASTIC!!!

Owie Boobies

I wasn’t expected to be poked and cut into yesterday on my follow up appointment, but that is exactly what happened. My doctor drained three large cyst, and then cut out the “abnormal” mass for further pathology test (results on Monday). I look like someone used my boobs as punching bags today. They are swollen and all bruised. Not sexy. I didn’t go into the office, so I could sit home and whine in private (and on my blog) today. Feel free to drop by the house with Grey Goose and Loratabs please.

Our House Fire

My husband saved my life last night. I was snoozing away around 2:30AM, oblivious to the world, when our house filled up with smoke. It woke him up, and he ran out into the living room to help put out the fire that started in our guest bathroom trash can. We’re not 100% sure how it started, but we found two teenage boys standing there. One saying, “It wasn’t me! Don’t look at me!” and the other one in panic mode pouring water into the trashcan.

We opened up all the windows and tried to air the house out the best we could. I crawled back into bed with the blankets pulled up over my nose and went back to sleep. I think my last words to the boys were, “We will talk about this tomorrow night when I get home from work.”

Now excuse me while I go check on our renters insurance coverage…

Happy Friday, and Happy May! May is one of my favorite months in Las Vegas. It is just gorgeous here today, and very hard to sit inside and work. I got a letter in the mail about my test the other day. It said that my mammogram showed abnormalities, and I was to call my doctor. When I called them, they switched my appointment to Tuesday of next week instead of Monday. Thanks guys! Make me wait anotheranother day, why don’t you…sigh.

I’ve got a hella “to-do-list” of things I want to get done this weekend. I just want to keep busy, and make the weekend fly by. WOW! I never thought I would see myself type that. Usually I want the weekends to be 5 days, and 2 days for work. HEH!

Choking Mood Strikes Again

Luckily, my mood to choke a co-worker struck right around lunch time, so I was able to leave the office and get away for awhile. And what do I do when the mood strikes to choke said co worker? I go to Walgreen’s and buy ridiculous amounts of nail polish. The lady in the cosmetic department knows me by name, and probably knows my credit card number by heart.

Never in my working career have I had trouble with co-workers. In fact, I married an ex co-worker, and many of my closest friends are ex co-workers. This one is just trouble…bad bad trouble. I’m doing everything in my power to just stay away from her, and yes that includes spending money frivolously.

What would you do if the mood strikes to choke someone? (hypothetically speaking of course)

Baby Sings Hey Jude

I’ve always wanted to have another baby and name him Julian after one of my favorite songs, Hey Jude. When I was pregnant with my oldest son I fought with his father for close to 6 months, trying to convince him to let me name him Julian. Obviously I lost that battle, but then I saw this video it just melted my heart! I wonder if his name is Julian.
