What’s that saying, “Ask and you shall receive?” Well that’s exactly what I did when I saw @ TrackPackCooler on Twitter. I thought their cooler was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen, so I asked them to send me one in exchange for a review, and they said yes, w00t! Watch this video, they are pretty sweet!

Here’s the thing! I know if you do any type of hiking, camping, picnicking, or tailgating, you’ve had to deal with a big bulky and damn heavy cooler, right? Imagine if you could comfortably carry ice-cold drinks on your back…And you could just reach back and grab one whenever YOU wanted? – Without having to STOP and UNLOAD!

The TrackPack Cooler is probably the most excited camping/hiking accessory that we’ve added to our equipment collection in a long time. I honestly don’t know how we’ve lived without it for so long. So long heavy bulky cooler days, I will never have to haul you around again, yippee!

$39.00! How can you not buy one at that price!?

Little Big Planet

The one family gift that we all got was the Play Station 3 game Litte Big Planet. It’s kind of like Mario Brothers on crystal meth, and so much fun to play. I get pretty frustrated at the controller sometimes. It’s really touchy, and I run my little Sack Girl straight into a fire pit, or I jump on a bomb and blow up. She’s pretty cute though when she’s not all charred.

Do any of you, or your kids, play Litte Big Planet? It’s rated “E” for everyone, and makes for a good family night.

Serena Williams went to Zappos.com yesterday where Tony gave her a tour of HQ. He also had the chance to “bunny ear” her in a picture to add to his portfolio.

Custom Skateboard Decks

My son Justin has been buying blank skateboard decks (100% Canadian Maple) from a retailer on eBay. When he gets them he is drawing custom designs on them and selling them to his friends. I promised him I would blog about his little business adventure and help him get some exposure. We’re currently working on his website, but in the meantime if you are interested in a custom skateboard deck, just let me know.

Oh and he autographs the custom skateboard decks as well! If he becomes famous someday, just think! You will own one of his “original” pieces, and it might be worth a lot of money!

Trivial Pursuit 90′s Time Capsule

I ordered a new Trivial Pursuit game last week and it came yesterday! I got the 90′s Time Capsule edition, and I already love the categories and questions.

OOPS — Mistakes and mishaps that made the headlines
WIRED — Technology, gadgets, and the internet
VIEWING — Movies, television, and things we watched during the 90′s
TRENDS — Fads, fashions, food and slang
IMPORTANT — Real news
HANGING — Leisure time, games, sports, reading, etc.

We didn’t set the game board up last night, but we did go through some of the questions. It was a lot of fun, and sparked some interesting debates within our family. I am pretty good at these questions, so at least I have a chance at winning this one as opposed to getting my butt kicked playing the Star Wars edition. J.R. and Michael just rock at that one!

Do you like Trivial Pursuit? What is your favorite edition? I’m looking to buy a couple more, so give me some suggestions please.

My Street Skater

I think most of you know that my youngest son is a skateboarder. He’s in the Las Vegas skate crew called S.I.N. (Skating In Nevada). He’s been skating since he was a little kid, when his skateboards were almost as long as him. Here’s some pictures I pulled off their website to share. They look like a bunch of dirty street skater kids. Oh wait, they are!

They stay far away from Vert skating. It’s all about the 9-stair at the high school. He’s the one with the long blond hair.

Being the mom of a street skater means spending a lot of money on equipment, shoes, and clothes. He goes through about 2 decks a month because with each new trick he tries, he snaps his boards fairly often. New hardware at least 10 times a year, trucks and wheels, almost once a month. It’s not a cheap sport by any means.

I was thrilled to find a new place to shop for all his skateboards today. It’s called Warehouse Skateboards, and they carry all the brands that he likes me to buy him. Element, Flip, Firm, and Black Label decks. He skates 7.75′s. Independent or Destructo trucks, depending on his mood that day. Bones bearings, Element hardware, and just about any kind of wheels.

Hey Warehouse Skateboard guys! Are you looking to put a team together out here on the West Coast? I’ve got just the skater that needs a sponsor badly! (Well his poor mom does – HAHA!)
