Our friends called and invited us over for some Agua Luca, pineapple juice, and new baby loving. I’m trying to decide if I want to go. I’m trying to decide if I want to wake up with a brain splitting headache tomorrow morning. I’m trying to decide if I want to get out of my jammies. LOL! Yes, it’s 6:30 at night and I’m still in my jammies.
We are so lazy on the weekends, but sometimes it feels good to be lazy on the weekends. After the chaos of the week, it’s nice to just kick back on the couch watching movies all day long, reading magazines, and chilling.
I love holidays, and three-day weekends. In fact, I vote that weekends should always be 3 days long. I also vote for an end to hangovers. Someone needs to come up with a way to not get them, and don’t try to be cute and say, “Don’t drink.”
Does anyone have a secret method that prevents them from getting hangovers? I drink water and take aspirin before I go to bed, but that’s not always a guarantee that I don’t feel like utter crap in the morning.

I had a pretty crappy week at work last week, and it doesn’t look to be getting any better. In fact, it’s starting to look even worse. There is so much going on, and so much I can’t say on my blog. Ugh. I did have an AWESOME weekend though as my friend Lisa knew how crappy my week was, so she came up from So Cal to visit me for the weekend.
We hung out all weekend, and had a blast. She stayed here Friday night, then got a hotel room on Saturday, so we moved the party down there on the Strip. I didn’t go to bed before 4:00AM both nights! It was great and just what I needed. If you’re ever in Las Vegas, make sure to hit up the Beauty Bar. We had a blast there! I sat on this couch most of the night and laughed my ass off!

We had a really good time Friday night for Michael’s birthday. I didn’t get home until 7:00PM because traffic was so bad, and I had to stop at the store. When I did finally make it home, I started dinner for the boys, and sat down on the couch. I almost fell asleep, but Michael was ready to go, and excited, so I forced myself to get up and get moving again.
We went to this new sushi place down the street that he and Johnathan found a couple weeks ago. It is really nice inside, and the sushi chefs were really friendly and having a great time with the customers. I actually found something on the appetizer menu that I could eat. Bacon wrapped shrimp (cooked) and bacon wrapped asparagus. They were so yummy, that I am going to make them the next time we have a party. Little, easy to make, and so good.
Steve and Lola came by the house later and we hung out talking and had the webcam going so Michelle and Ernie could join in on the fun virtually. Their baby is still pretty little, so they don’t get out much at all. We had a good time, and I woke up Saturday morning a little unsure how I got to bed. Apparently I had curled up on the floor in the living room next to Michael, and Lola fell asleep on the couch, so the guys just sat around talking while we were passed out. Well I was passed out, Lola is pregnant, so she was just tired.
I didn’t get much done Saturday at all. I had some work stuff to do that got canceled at the last minute on Friday, so we just sat around the house watching movies and taking naps. It’s crazy to think I could party like that every night when I was younger and still be fine the next day. Not anymore. I thought I was dying yesterday, but we had fun! HA!

Happy July 1st, and rabbit-rabbit. I turned my Desperate Housewives calendar to July and found Tom and Lynette. Her quote for the month is, “In case you haven’t noticed, I don’t really need your services in the knocking-me-up department anymore.” I’m sure a lot of parents with tons of kids can relate to that.
We went over to Ernie and Michelle’s house Friday night to listen to them do their podcast. They never did get around to doing it, because it’s been so long since we’ve all gotten together, that we just sat around and talked about stuff. We got to see the baby and he is just adorable. He looks just like Ernie, so there is no paternity test needed in their case. Not that their ever was, but as the old saying goes, “there is no denying that child.”
