Something big is happening at Zappos.com today, but I’ve been instructed to keep it on the down low until it actually happens, so I can’t tell you. HA! I’m such a tease. It’s exciting and so cool, and I can’t wait to spill the beans about it.

Okay, what woman doesn’t love shoes. Or wait, I have a better question. What woman loves shoes more than my mother? I’m willing to bet she is in the top 5% of women who love shoes more than anything else. While she was here earlier in the year we went shopping several times. She was on the Rocket Dog Shoes and Sketchers kick, and bought about every pair she saw, even if it was the same pair she already bought, just a different color. There is some truth in sticking with brands that fit you. I have my brand that fits perfectly, every.single.time.

Traffic was nuts this morning coming into work. I don’t know why I ever think it will be different, but sometimes I just wish it wouldn’t be stop and go the whole way here. I’d prefer to do 65 MPH on the freeway, not 45. But I’m here, and I made it.

After our trip to the crazy cowboy place on Sunday we went to the Bass Pro Shop. WOW! What an amazing store. I have never seen so many fishing poles in one place in all my life. That place is massive and there was so much to look at. From all the camping equipment, the guns, and the boats, to the real animals they have stuffed all over. They even had a giraffe. It’s a very cool store, and I suggest you check it out if you have one by you.

I can’t believe it is August already. We are just two months away from Halloween, three months until it’s Thanksgiving, four months until Christmas and five months until New Years, and my birthday. Time flies when you’re having fun I guess. It is time to start thinking about gift buying though. I promised myself I wouldn’t wait until the last minute this year, and I’m going to stick to my guns. I want all my shopping done in the first two weeks of November.

Lucky for me my favorite place to start shopping online is CouponChief.com. I can always find great coupon codes to use. My first stop will be Dell to order myself a new desktop. Dick’s Sporting Goods will be a good place for presents for Michael, and Best Buy will be the best place to go for the boys. And I can’t forget my baby kitties who would love a present from PetSmart.

I’m worried about the old man that comes into JR’s store. He always ask the courtesy clerks to help him shop with his list, and he tips them $2.00 each time. The thing is he comes in every single day, with the same exact list.

JR has even pointed out to him that he probably doesn’t need another gallon of milk because he just bought one yesterday, yet the little old man insist that since it’s on his list he needs it.

Something just doesn’t seem right about it to me, and I feel rather helpless.
