Do you know I am still dealing with the identity theft issue that I had almost 4 years ago now. I got a letter from a collection agency for an unpaid Sprint phone bill. So I called them up, and I have to go through all the steps of filing a police report, signing an affidavit stating the bill isn’t mine, get it notarized, send proof of residency of where I lived at the time, blah blah blah. There is no way of getting around it. It’s truly a pain in the ass, and a pain I’ve been down many times since this all started.

A quick search on Google using the phone number as my search phrase, brought up my name, and the address of the home the service was in. Another search on the county assessors web site brought up the home owners name, different address, so I’m assuming it’s a rental. So I’ve printed all that information out to take to the police station with me when I file my report. I wonder just how far they take cases like this, because I am not above driving to the home owners house, knocking on their door, and asking for the tenants names that lived there during the dates the phone was in service. I’m not above doing more research to actually find these jerks, even if they live now in some Tuscany Villas. Hey, it will make my Europe trip even that more exciting, right? I’m not so sure what I would do if I actually found them, but I would probably go back to the police to update them.

Come to think of it, maybe I should start my own business of helping people who have been victims of identity theft. I bet there is some good money in that. If I had the money now, I would pay someone else to do all this legwork. When life hands you lemons you make lemonade right? I think I’m on to something here.

Yes, this is what we did when it came to our taxes. We put it off all the way until 8:00PM last night! Well it appears we’re not the only ones. In fact us tax procrastinators crashed the Intuit computers in California and had trouble transmitting our returns. I got a warning that said the system was overloaded, sign out, sign back in, and try again. I did this three times, and finally got it to go through. Just 2.5 hours under the deadline. ~~~Wipes brow~~~

“A flood of last-minute income tax returns is swamping the computer servers of a California software company. Taxpayers filing electronically have had to wait hours for confirmation that their forms have made it to the IRS. Intuit Processed 50 To 60 Returns Per Second”

Did you get your’s filed on time? Did you get a refund? Did you spend it already? LOL!

Dude, I have to get some debt management help, and the sooner the better. Every time I look at my stack of bills, I get more stressed out. I want to start looking for a job now, but Michael thinks I need to get my surgery over and done with before I do that. I agree with him 100%, but I am still stressed out at the unpaid pile is higher than the paid pile.

I so wish we owned a house so we could get one of those bad credit remortgages I hear about on the television commercials all the time. I’ve thought about just applying for loans, but my credit is so shot, that I know I won’t be approved for one. I swear I feel like we are in a hole, and there is no way out. I hate that feeling!

Has your company recently consolidated many divisions or separate companies all together? There is a slew of problems that can come from that and sometimes you need help with financial reporting software that will keep it all organized and in one place. These software suites can be customized to fit your business needs exactly that way you need them. I really shy away from the financial side of business, but if I had cool software to work with I could learn to love it. I think that is my only downfall when it comes to wanting to start my own business. I just don’t have enough knowledge in the finance department.
