free gay e-cards You know I never realized how ecards, and evites were so geared towards heterosexuals. Almost all the “love” cards you see show a man and a woman, but never of the same sex. That’s kind of sad, and I was surprised today to run across a site that offers free gay e-cards. They also have videos that you can send, along with any message you are trying to get across. I think that is really cool, and such a great idea for a website. Kudos to you GoGayCards.com for making everyone feel special on their day of celebration.

So I’ve been married a little over 5 months now, it’s probably time to go get a new drivers license. I’ve got a feeling that when I go and pre-register at the hospital, my old name on my license might cause a problem with the admitting department, even though my insurance card, and my SS card, have my new name on it. I would hate to get there the day of surgery, and have them postpone it until I get my new license.

So I’m sitting here with hair color on my head, so I can have a semi-sexy drivers license picture, if that is at all possible at the Department of Motor Vehicle. HA! I think I will even over do my makeup for the day time to see if it will make any difference. I hate having a crappy picture on my drivers license. The one I have now, I look 13, maybe 14 at the most. I was turned down buying beer once at a grocery store, with about $200 worth of other groceries, because the bitchy checkout lady thought I had a fake ID.

How much do I love my husband? I love him with all my heart, and this week that loves has really been put to the test. He’s going through some things at his job, that has added so much stress in our lives. His job, my surgery, it’s all intertwined into this big ball of shit. He’s so stressed out, and I feel so helpless, as I can’t do anything about it other than to be supportive and listen. Every single fiber of my being wants to go to this office and make it all better, but I can’t make a difference, then I get frustrated, and I get angry, and not too soon after we are arguing over things neither one of us has any control over. I thank my lucky stars everyday that we can have grown up arguments that end up with hugs and kisses, other than the violent ones I was previously involved in.

But I do have a point to all this. Currently he is sitting next to me playing Enter Sandman by Apocalyptica, with the Winamp lyrics plugin going, singing at the top of his lungs. He’s so off key, and he sounds so funny, but he sounds so happy, and stress free. Something I haven’t seen for a week now. I wouldn’t trade this moment for anything in the world. Oh shit, now he’s playing The Simpsons theme song and humming along. I better find one of our stethoscopes just in case he stops breathing from all his singing at the top of his lungs. Things are all good in Just Julie’s world.

Every time I look at my engagement ring I love it more and more. It’s got three stones in it. The big diamond in the middle symbolizes me, and the two smaller diamonds on the side symbolize each boy. I thought it was a very kind gesture by Michael. I know it made Britt and Veronique tear up when I told them the story.

I still need to find a diamond wedding band to match it though. We used “temporary” ones at our wedding because we couldn’t quite afford the most important part of the ceremony. Hey, we only had a week to plan! I think something kind of like this diamond wedding band would match nicely. They have a really nice selection of diamond engagement rings at Navex Jewelers.
