My blog was down for a couple hours, if you hadn’t noticed. The database went south, and Michael had to reboot the server. I was getting anxious there for a bit, but I wasn’t in a full blown panic yet. HA!
Speaking of Michael, he’s leaving tomorrow for two days, and I’m going to miss him soooo much! WAAAAAAH! He’s going on his Jansport 8000 Meter Challenge in Southern California. There is a whole team of them going from his job, and I bet they are going to have a really good time. I wish I was going, but work calls, and the boys are back in school. I’ll just be home missing him.
This Saturday marks the 9 month anniversary of our wedding. It seems like we’ve been together forever, so it’s hard to believe we have only been married for nine months. It’s even stranger to tell people that we’re newlyweds. I think that term is more useful for the young, first time, married people. Anyway….moving right along.
I’ve been trying to think of types of anniversary gifts that I could get him, but I keep coming up empty handed. Everything I think of is kind of generic, and just doesn’t feel special enough. But I did come across something he would like; art!
He loves art, and this company PaintYourLife.com will take one of your photographs, and have an artist hand paint it for you into a portrait. They offer oil, charcoal, watercolor, pastel, pencil and acrylic paintings, ranging from wedding pictures, kids, houses, landscapes, vehicles, whatever you want painted, they will do it. Just go take a look at the examples on the website. They are REALLY good!
It’s really easy to do also! You just upload your digital image to them. They will paint it for you, then upload a picture of it on the website for you to take a look at and see if you want any changes or anything else. They will only ship it to you when you are completely satisfied. It looks so interesting doesn’t it?

I’m heading into my 8th month of being a wife, and so far I’ve enjoyed it. We’ve had a few rocky bumps along the road, but we’ve managed to learn and grow from them, and isn’t that what love and romance is all about anyway? You learn and grow, and fall deeper in love with every obstacle that passes your way.
I think the biggest bump we have faced is the children, and where the stepfather roll begins and ends. It’s really hard for someone to step up to the plate in that way, and I think it’s even harder for stepfathers of boys. The emotional attachment isn’t quite there like it might be for stepmothers, or having daughters in the mix. Boys are taught to hide their emotional side, and this carries over into adult hood.
In the end though, things have really been great. Are you as lucky as I am to have found a great guy? There are many relationship articles online like the ones at RomanceForEveryone.com to help you along the way.

Michael is the luckiest man alive right now. I had been working on my new template on a test area of the server all day, and got it working perfectly. When I went in to import the post, I was having trouble. So I asked him to move them over for me, and in the process we thought he had lost all the work I did. My heart stopped beating!!!
But being the sexy programming whiz that he is, he made it all right again for me, and everything settled right into place. There are still a few formatting issues, and tweaks I need to make, but I’m getting there.
It’s quite a big change, what do you think?
I just can’t decide what photo I want to use for the 16×20 canvas photo enlargement web site I found on Kat’s site last week. I’ve been looking and looking through them and none of them stand out. At the chapel where we got married they took some professional photos after the ceremony, and they gave us the roll of film to develop. Can you believe that I still haven’t taken that in for development, 7 months later! HA! I guess I better drop that off today, so I can pick out which one I want to use.
