I think we all have that one couple that you are constantly wondering when they are going to get married. You know the ones that have been together for years, and have kids already, but they just won’t take that next step into marriage. I know a couple like this, and at some point I’m hoping that I will be able to look at engagement gifts for them.

engagement gifts I came across these unique Tyrone Bell’s that come in different styles all symbolizing different things for the couple. For instance the Tyrone Bangor Bell is presented to the couple to help solve “differences,” and the Tyrone Belfast Bell is for helping the couple to be ready for all those very “happy” years of married life together. I think they are so pretty, and you can also have them engraved with the couples name.

Gosh, I didn’t realize it’s been three days since I have updated. We’ve been pretty busy, as Justin has been sick with strep throat all week long. This weekend he’s had horrible headaches, and has just been lying on the couch. We’re dosing him with Tylenol to keep the pain in check, and he just got up from the couch to play video games, so I think he’s on his way to feeling better.

J.R. is with friends out on the lake, boating and inner tubing. I almost begged him if I could go also, but then decided I would be disappointed with the answer, “no mom, it’s just the guys,” so I didn’t say anything but, “have a good time.” HA! Spending the day on the lake sounds heavenly though, and I’m glad he’s getting to enjoy it.

Michael and I went out to dinner Friday night to that really great bar I told you about once before. It was just as amazing the second time around, and we had a wonderful time. But the real fun started when we got home. *wink*wink* We’ve been needing some alone time for awhile now, and it truly was just what “the therapist ordered.” (If we were in therapy that is).

We got up early Saturday morning and had breakfast. Then we hiked the Pittman Wash. I got new hiking boots, so I needed to break them in before we did any serious hiking in the mountains. I just love them, and they are going to be perfect. We’ve had a lot of rain lately, so there is flowing water in the wash that we had to cross a couple times. The water just beaded off my boots. PERFECT!

Today we spent moving my computer desk to the music room. I’ve been camping out on the couch with my laptop so I can see the TV, but it’s just doing a number on my back, and my mouse hand/arm. I’m all settled into my new desk, with Michael at his desk just a few feet away, and the TV directly in front of me through the arch way into the living room. And this setup passes the most important test. We can both lean back in our chairs, and our lips can meet for a kiss. PERFECT!

Through all the superficial things that happened over the weekend, there was some much needed positive connection happening between Michael and I, and we truly needed that to happen. And as long as we can recognize that we need to do something to get back in sync, and the things we do actually do, sync us back together, then all the world is PERFECT!

Michael called me 5 times yesterday, and today he’s called 4 times. The last time was to tell me that he misses me. Awwwwww, I love that man, and I miss him so much. I just thought I would share.

My blog was down for a couple hours, if you hadn’t noticed. The database went south, and Michael had to reboot the server. I was getting anxious there for a bit, but I wasn’t in a full blown panic yet. HA!

Speaking of Michael, he’s leaving tomorrow for two days, and I’m going to miss him soooo much! WAAAAAAH! He’s going on his Jansport 8000 Meter Challenge in Southern California. There is a whole team of them going from his job, and I bet they are going to have a really good time. I wish I was going, but work calls, and the boys are back in school. I’ll just be home missing him.

This Saturday marks the 9 month anniversary of our wedding. It seems like we’ve been together forever, so it’s hard to believe we have only been married for nine months. It’s even stranger to tell people that we’re newlyweds. I think that term is more useful for the young, first time, married people. Anyway….moving right along.

I’ve been trying to think of types of anniversary gifts that I could get him, but I keep coming up empty handed. Everything I think of is kind of generic, and just doesn’t feel special enough. But I did come across something he would like; art!

He loves art, and this company PaintYourLife.com will take one of your photographs, and have an artist hand paint it for you into a portrait. They offer oil, charcoal, watercolor, pastel, pencil and acrylic paintings, ranging from wedding pictures, kids, houses, landscapes, vehicles, whatever you want painted, they will do it. Just go take a look at the examples on the website. They are REALLY good!

It’s really easy to do also! You just upload your digital image to them. They will paint it for you, then upload a picture of it on the website for you to take a look at and see if you want any changes or anything else. They will only ship it to you when you are completely satisfied. It looks so interesting doesn’t it?
