I got a scathing email this morning from a girl I use to know that thought this post was about her. Apparently someone read it, thought it was about her, and told her. I wrote her back in an email that it’s not about her. So for the record, people who think this is about said person, it’s not. I had to look at the email sender name for about 5 minutes before it hit me who it was from. I’m sooooo over that! LOL!

Domains here, domains there. Web sites here, web sites there. Transfer this, auth code this. MySQL errors, scripts not working, FTP not working, MX records mixed up. YAY! That was my day, and I am ready to go home NOW! 20 more minutes…just 20 more minutes.

And I’m starving as I didn’t get a lunch break. I think I will go home and inhale left over chicken enchiladas from Sunday night. What did you have for dinner? Anything exciting?

I’m sitting here at my desk working away, and eating a bag of CornNuts. I’m plopping them in my mouth one at a time, typing away, and going about my own business. In walks in my boss, just as I was shoving another one in my mouth. I missed my mouth and it fell down my shirt, and sat there in my cleavage.

So the whole time he is standing here talking to me I am thinking about this damn CornNut on my boob, and wondering if he can see it. I didn’t hear a word he said to me. The minute he leaves, I start fishing it out, when in walks one of the sys admin guys. He just looked at me, laughed, and kept walking back into the phone room. I’m so embarrassed.

I’m so excited that Monday is almost here. I have feverishly been getting all the things done around the house that I have been putting off, so I am all organized here, and ready to start on a new chapter of my life. The first thing I need to do in the morning is meet with the HR Department, so I can get all the paperwork and stuff squared away. I don’t know what my office looks like yet, and I am really wondering what kind of office furniture I will have. The main office itself is beautiful, so I’m hoping my office is just as nice.

I had an interview this morning, and they offered me the job on the spot! He even canceled his other interviews he had scheduled later in the day! Basically I’m a one woman show doing web advertising, marketing, and design for an already established business. This is going to grow into it’s own department eventually, and I’m there at the ground level, growing it, and making it successful. Making it my baby!

I’m so flipping excited, and so scared at the same time, and man it’s going to be a challenge, but that is the kind of job where I thrive. It’s in a gorgeous office, in a gorgeous section of Las Vegas, but it’s going to be one hell of a commute for me in the prime time rush hour traffic. I’m going to switch cars with Michael I think. He’s got a 4 cylinder Honda, and my Grand Am is a 6 cylinder gas guzzler.

So I’m trading in the yoga pants and flip flops, for business attire and heels. Wow, our lives are sure going to change around here. I’ve got a working teen I need to find transportation for, but he’s being really cool about it, and said he can take the bus. The other teen was happy and excited, but still wondered who was going to cart him around town. LOL! A lot of adjustments are going to be needed. We’ll make it work.
