Hey, guess what? We’ve got new pennies! The U.S. Mint released four new designs for the penny yesterday, in honor of the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln’s birth. It’s also the 100th anniversary of the production of the Lincoln penny. You won’t see them in your pocket anytime soon though. They are set to hit circulation on Feb. 12, 2009.

Abraham Lincoln grew up in a log cabin on the Sinking Spring Farm, in southeast Hardin County, Kentucky, now a part of LaRue County. He was the 16th president of the United States of America.

Rick Sanchez is embracing social media, and is now using Twitter as a way for viewers to ask him questions, live on the air. High five Rick!

He actually used my question tonight, but I was kind of freaked out by his answer.

My question: “What are all the evacuees doing with their animals? Is there also some type of pet evacuation plan?”

His answer: “The buses would not let people take their pets, and that some of them left their pets with their neighbors.”

Uhhhh…didn’t those neighbors evacuate also?

Now I’m all freaked out that tons of pets were left behind, and that makes me super sad.

So who would have thought that Paris Hilton had a pretty decent energy policy, that didn’t include Red Bull? She actually has a better stance on the energy crisis than either candidate does. Of course the video is scripted, but she does a damn good job at it! Maybe we’ll see her as a futures broker one day, or some other type of job that requires a thought process

I went and saw Hillary Clinton speak on Friday at Green Valley High School here in our town. I’ve actually never seen her speak live, and she is a very good public speaker. In fact, maybe she should go into a sales career. She’s pretty convincing, I’d buy something from her. HA! She’s rallying for the Democratic party of course, and spoke about the issues that Barack Obama is fighting for. I really enjoyed listening to her, and I want to buy her book. I wish I would have had it with me when I went, as I saw people having her sign it.
