Here’s another great recipe from the General Mills Table Talk event that we cooked in the Betty Crocker Kitchen. These were so yummy with the cole slaw, and really close to the authentic ones we get in the Mexican restaurants.

One of the highlights of my trip to the General Mills Table Talk event was having the opportunity to cook in the Betty Crocker Kitchen. We were divided into 6 groups with each group making a different recipe. This is the group that made the Double-Layer Tacos. They were so yummy, and the girls said they were really quick and easy to make.

I’ve got another great giveaway for you guys from the Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes restaurants. Here in Nevada, we have Sweet Tomatoes and it’s a really good place to get all-you-care-to-eat/fixed-price fresh soups and salads, and of course the bread (my favorite part)! I took my mom there last time she was in town and she enjoyed it. When I lived in Southern California we ate at Souplantation all the time when the boys were little. At the time they didn’t charge the little guys, so I just fed them off my plate.

Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes gave me 8 dinner passes, 2 in which I am keeping for myself (a gift for hosting this giveaway), and 6 that I am giving away here on my blog. They come in pairs, so there will be 3 winners for this giveaway! But first check out these two big events coming up from Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes restaurants.

dickslastresortlogo Last week we attended the Las Vegas Weekly event at Dick’s Last Resort in the Excalibur Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. I can’t even put into words how much fun this place is. Seriously…check your bad attitude at the door, because you WILL have a good time here, no matter what.

All the employees are there for one purpose; to make sure you have fun. But my favorite employee has to be Taco. Yes, that’s his name, Taco. See for yourself.

Dick's Last Resort - Taco - Las Vegas

One of the “stunts” he does is called the Taco Water Show. I knew there was no way to ever put this show into words, so I did a video instead. Who said the Bellagio Water Fountain Show was the best one in Las Vegas? They obviously have never been to Dick’s Last Resort to see Taco’s Water Fountain Show!

The employees also make hats for people to wear. You don’t know what they wrote on them when they put it on your head, so you’re just the joke of the party for a few minutes until you rip it off and read it. Great fun, and not for people who lack a sense of humor, or easily get butt hurt.
