Saturday night. 10:23PM. Searching “cats” on YouTube. I have officially became “the old cat lady.”
A few weeks ago I wanted to adopt a couple cats that needed a home, and my family shot down the idea. Then my brother-in-law got a job in Los Angeles, so he was moving. His cat Spider needed a home, so we adopted him.
He is a beautiful cat, which you can’t really tell by the camera phone image, but I haven’t had a good chance to take any pictures with the real camera. He’s afraid of our other cats, and they have been mad-dogging (mad-catting in this case) him constantly. So he has found a few hiding places that we didn’t even know existed.
Who knew there was an opening in the cabinet under the sink, that turned into a cubbyhole behind the other cabinets and the drawers? Who knew that this cat, who had never been at our house, could open the cabinet door and climb in there. We spent DAYS looking for him. It got so bad that we just concluded that he had ran out the door when no one was looking. I was even entertaining the fact that maybe he was a magical cat and had *poofed* himself into thin air…for reals!!
But Spider is a cool cat, and hopefully when the dust settles (or the fur) he will become a great part of our family. I am turning into the old cat lady, I know.
For lack of anything to say today, I thought I’d share this comic I came across. It made me laugh, and that wasn’t an easy task today. I hope it makes you laugh also!

For lack of anything interesting to write about, I give you this. It made me smile today, and that was a tough thing to do.
