Every moms worst nightmare has happened TWICE now within 6 months. My oldest teenage son was involved in yet another car accident, no injuries this time. Yes, the second one in a 6 month period. He’s been the passenger in both accidents, with his girlfriend behind the wheel. I love her immensely, and she’s a wonderful girl, but her driving leaves a lot to be desired.

Her dad is a damn funny guy though. When he arrived at the accident scene, he looked at her and pointed to the city bus and said, “That’s going to be your only form of transportation for the next year.” We all laughed so hard and the motorcycle cop spit the water he was drinking on the ground. LOL!

I like a guy with a great sense of humor! Thank you, God, for no injuries!

Still scary when your teens are involved in accidents, even when they aren’t their faults. My step-son got hit really hard by a family driving out of state that made an illegal U-turn thing at a major intersection and against the light at that. If they would have hit him 1 foot forward than they did I’m sure he would have been hurt. Thank goodness he wasn’t, but the car I’d given him was a total loss.

Ha Ha love it… what the dad said of course!!

Shame about the pickup though. Surely a bit of spit and polish will sort that out though!!

Oh i don’t look forward to the day my children drive – though we do gave a ‘gradualated’ license with a lot of restrictions overthe first three years and a second test.

Glad that they are both okay . I would seriously suggest that she takes some driving lessons. One day she might not be so luck.

I’ve been in 3 RTC’s in my whole life. 1 I was behind the wheel, 1 I was a passenger and 1 I was a pedestrian. The passenger one was when I was little and don’t remember that much about it just that the lady behind us was too close and my Dad braked and she went into us. Pedestrian one was a little scary at the time as I had to go to A+E on a spinal board. The one with me behind the wheel was scary – I was on the Motorway and it was wet, I was far enough away from the car in front to give me enough braking distance but instead it wasn’t, the front drivers side (well on a UK car it’s the drivers side lol) took most of the hit – all parties were fine but I was travelling alone and had to get myself off the motorway and to the nearest services to pull myself together. (Thank goodness for mobile phones in that and the pedestrian case!)
