I don’t know about you, but a spa day that includes chocolate sounds like heaven on earth to me, so I entered the Girlfriend Getaway Contest. After months of waiting the IZEA Insiders page has finally launched, so I guess that makes it all official now. They’ve also added a feature for you to join my team through your SocialSpark profile. It’s a little confusing so I wanted to walk you through the steps.

Joining the IZEA Swarm Crew on Social Spark

1. Login to your Social Spark profile.
2. Along the top navigation on the right is “Account” hover over.
3. Choose “Manage Blogger Account.”
4. Click on Profile.
5. Scroll down and on the right side you will see #7. “Your IZEA Insiders Membership”.
6. Select “IZEA Swarm”.
7. Click Save and Continue.

For those of you new users who want to join SocialSpark, you will see a section in your profile creation where you can pick the IZEA Swarm crew also.

I recently started walking to get into better shape (or get a better shape is more like it) and to be more healthy. I have enough bad habits that are not good for my health, so I figured I better start doing something that is good for my health to counter balance the bad things. HA! I’m not sure how logical that is to you, but it works for me.

I’ve also discovered a way to log my miles and help others! I’m using the BeeWell Miles site to log each mile I walk, and in turn they will donate $0.15 cents for each mile I walk to the Breast Cancer Network of Strength who provide emotional support to those who can’t wait for tomorrow’s cure.

This promotion is running from April 1st to October 31st of 2009. Just imagine what kind of money I could raise if I just walked one mile everyday for the full 214 days. That’s $32 bucks, but when I walk the trail it’s generally a 4 mile hike, so that would be $128. Every little bit helps, right?! Now if you join also we could really make a difference for breast cancer and our waistlines.

This is the trail that I walk, it’s really a beautiful walk!
