The cameras are charging and I’m getting pretty excited about heading to the Springs Preserves tonight for the Las Vegas Earth Hour viewing party.
Earth Hour is the world’s first global election, between earth and global warming. So tonight at 8:30 you can vote earth by shutting off your lights for one hour, or you can vote global warming and leave them on. It’s up to you, but I’m voting earth.
The results of the election will be presented at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.
If you’re on Twitter and will be attending an event in your city the hashtag is #earthhour and then your location like #lv. Look for my tweets @JustJulie, and pictures on my TwitPics. I will post more pictures and video tomorrow.
Enjoy your night, and turn off those lights from 8:30-9:30PM and vote earth!
Has the economy left you feeling busted? Are you a mom? Then you’re just one of the many Busted Moms out there and Sears is ready to help you all out.
They have launched a viral marketing campaign to help out moms all across the US with random acts of kindness in the form of $25 gift cards just by following them on Twitter @bustedmoms. How cool is that? I think I counted about 5 gift cards that they gave out yesterday on Twitter, just because.
But the big thing about their campaign is the $2,500.00 makeover giveaway! All you need to do is visit Busted Moms.com and become a fan on their FaceBook page. Tell your story about why you should win the $2,500 makeover package or nominate one of you favorite moms.
BustedMoms $2500 Makeover Package includes:
I found out that I was actually nominated to win the makeover package and I feel so loved! Thanks so much Heather, Drew, and Corrin! That would totally rock if I won!
Oh and I must mention that now is the time to shop at Sears also. They have 75-80% off original prices on all their Fall and Winter apparel from now till April 18th.
Sears is just rocking the social media world! They get it, and I think it’s awesome!

Yesterday morning I took my oldest son Johnathan down to audition for a teen pilot starting in the fall. There is a lot of waiting to be had at auditions so we spent some time just hanging out and talking. I got this picture of him practicing his lines in the mirror. I thought it was pretty cool. He’s pretty serious about the whole thing.
It’s been two years since I wrote the post Happy 13th Birthday Justin and I can’t even begin to tell you where the last two years went. I guess that is what my family category is for. A reference for the oldies who have lost their minds (me).
I had a busy day yesterday while taking my oldest son to yet another audition, but of course I manged to get some time in with Justin for his 15th birthday. I took him to the skate shop so he could get a new deck, and I bought him Hanna Montana cupcakes. HA!
Yeah yeah, I know I said I was taking a sabbatical from blogging. So what if it was only 4 day. I have something to share.
My laptop died at the beginning of the week, and I had to do a clean install of Windows Vista. I run a pretty tight ship when it come to my computer files, so I had all the important stuff backed up on an external hard drive, and I wasn’t too worried about it.
But while transferring files back over to my new spiffy laptop I realized that it was going to take 124 years and 9 hours for the files to be done. Hmmmm.
