I’ve been walking everyday for a full week now. I’m trying to lose inches off my waistline and get back into the size 5 jeans I have worn all my life now. I recently had to buy size 7′s and I’m not too thrilled about it. I need to lose about 10-15 pounds I think, but more importantly about 5 inches off my waistline.
Yesterday we went to a park by our house that has a walking trail. Along the trail are exercise stations. We stopped at each one, and I carefully followed the beginners instructions. I must be in pretty bad shape because today I am sore sore sore! I’m going to wear a bikini this summer if it kills me, and I don’t care how old I am.
Here I am being a monkey:
Here I am acting like I am in the Olympics:
Good for you Julie! It is a killer to get back into an exercise routine, but it feels good, huh?

I’ve gained some old man belt-overhang lately and I’m disgusted with myself, I’m only 18! So I started working out again, lots of cardio and a great ab workout from about.com! http://exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercises.htm

Hi Julie, that’s great. I found your post and think that it’s really great that rather you use… I need to lose pounds… and put it into inches.
After all does it really matter in pounds… it’s all about how you look and how you see yourself.
I just thought that was really powerful.
Thanks for posting and being so open.
