Pledge Fabric Sweeper For Pet Hair As most of you know I have three cats. Three very hairy cats. I brush them daily, but it doesn’t stop the cat hair from getting all over the carpet and my furniture. But I love them, so it’s just something I put up with.

When I had the chance to review the Pledge Fabric Sweeper For Pet Hair I was excited and a little skeptical. I really didn’t think it would work as well as advertised, but it does!

My son Justin did the testing for me on the couch and chair, then went on to the dinning room table chairs, and even on my bed comforter. He just slid it side to side in short strokes, and the roller rotates back and forth to lift and trap the hair. The top is clear so you can see all the hair that it picked up, and it’s disposable, so you just toss it in the trash when it’s all filled up. It’s far better for the environment than the lint roller that I use and throw away about 10-15 sheets with each cleaning.

So here’s the deal for all you pet owners. I’ve got a Pledge Fabric Sweeper to give away to one of my readers so you can try it out too.

I love the Pledge Dust & Allergen spray.

If Pledge made some magic product that removed human hair from carpet, I’d be all over that. Long, curly hair = vacuum killer!

I really need one of these. The rollers are so annoying because you have to keep removing layers of sticky paper and sometimes 3 or 4 sections pull out and stick together…. accccckkkkk – this sounds so easy!!! Hope they are available in Canada :)

I am dying to try the 360 dusters. There are so many items I have that need 360 cleaning!!

Laurie on 15 February, 2009 at 6:28 pm

These look fabulous! I am always looking for ways to clean Brownie’s hair off the furniture. I will have to see if I can find these. I already use Pledge Wipes in our kitchen and bathroom, so I’m sure this is a great quality product too.

I will keep an eye out over here (Australia) to see if they are selling it here. It sounds like something we could REALLY use!

I wonder if they sell them here in the UK. As the weather’s getting warmer our cats have already started to shed their extra fur .. have to get the hoover out!

pledge multisurface cleaner! i could really use one of these sweepers with my three rugrats!

Sam Servedio on 16 February, 2009 at 7:48 am

If it picks up cat hair quickly and easily, it has to be a good gadget to get.

Karen on 16 February, 2009 at 7:48 am

I looked at the Pledge Multi Surface cleaner but I think I could really use this Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair too. I have two little fur babies.

Maureen on 16 February, 2009 at 9:31 am

I’ve not used this yet– and I have animals! Another tip for you and your cats is “The Furminator”. It’s the best brush I’ve used. It gets the undercoat and really keeps the hair issues down! I got mine at a local pet store here.

Another thing they make is Pledge multi surface.

I could use this–I have a dog that sheds his own weight in fur every day!

Sadie on 16 February, 2009 at 11:31 am

This would be great for my kitty, Pepper! We already use the Pledge Mulisurface Wipes all the time on everything.

Ha! I totally bought one of these at the store on Friday! It did work quite impressively however my couch and recliner are microsuede so it didn’t work as well as I’d have wanted, but still pretty cool for $5!

Twitted you… :)

We only have one tiny chihuahua, but I plan to try one of these as well – the vacuum just doesn’t go everywhere. Pledge duster is another useful thing.

never knew about the Pledge Dry Cloths before. I definitely will give them a try. We live not far from an airport and also in the beautiful balmy south Florida winds, so we are always dealing with dust of some form. these dry cloths would be great for quick jobs.
thanks for the review.

Pledge Multi Surface cleaner is one I use. Just saw a commercial for the fabric sweeper and thought it’d be a big help since my puppy sleeps with me.

And I twittered here: http://twitter.com/zengrrl/status/1224008882

Saw the commercial for this and nice to know it really works. I’ve got two cats and one sheds on everything while the other just piles her’s up in specific areas. But what a pain to try to get cat hair off of stuff! Thanks Jules!

Environmentally friendly? I would think that pet owners would be a little more environmentally savvy. These things are just another piece of plastic to go in the garbage heap. This product could easily be made reusable, but no, Pledge needs you to buy more and more and more.

Don’t see how the tape lint roller is less environmentally friendly, at least its made out of paper.

In this day and age of conservation for the sake of our pocket books as well as the environment I would think that SC Johnson would start to produce more reusable products, not standard American throw away crap.

Great product, does what it is intended to, just a little more thought and less greed needs to go into it.

I already use Pledge Multi-Surface in bottles and wipes, as well as good old Pledge and their dusters. Thanks for the giveaway.

Penny on 21 February, 2009 at 9:10 am

I have used Pledge prodcuts for years. One I haven’t tried is the Multisurface Cleaner. I just saw the Fabric Sweeper advertised for the first time> I have a black Lab and boy do I need one of these!

roxxymetal on 21 February, 2009 at 10:14 am

This is definately one product I really need!! There is always pet hair everywhere! I think this would help out alot. Also probably need to pick up some Pledge Dry Cloths.
