I cannot express in words how I felt when I saw Bush walk down those stairs and get in the helicopter. I truly believe that he has ruined parts of the last 8 years of my life, and every United States citizen. I also believe that today is the most historical event that I will witness in my lifetime. I am so proud to be from America today.

I’m totally with you on that statement!
Ya I am glad hes gone too!
I’ve seen quite a few Obamicon’s around today
I find it so interesting to see the way social networking is changing the dynamics of our world even in politics, and how people are able to network and share by doing something as simple as creating an Obamicon for the world to see.
I like that – a lot!

yah.. i hope that Obama can really make a change not only to america but also to other country….=))
I had a phone call yesterday. Someone from Slovenia told me (after watching the whole ceremony) that Obama is more than welcome to come and enjoy a beautiful resort “Velika planina” (fresh air, spruce woods) and as a gift he would get a dog for his daughters – “kraski ovcar” (I think that’s a native Slovenian breed).
I think he’s been brilliant, economy really strong, low unemployment, peace in the middle east, Iraq the new home counties, Iran leading the way on renewable energy sources, pensions thriving, what a star. Sorry to see him go.

One of the reasons I’m a tad behind socializing online IS because of Tuesday! Sat glued to the TV from 8:30 a.m. until right about midnight – taking short breaks. While the day was extremely wonderful, the vision of Bush heading off into the “I will never be in the Oval Office again!” skies was a thrill! Great post Jules!
