Two nights ago I was lying in bed with Michael and I moved my left ankle because it felt weird and it cracked, loudly. We both thought, “What the hell?” but just figured it was like any joint that cracks once and awhile like your knuckles or your wrist.
Well I woke up the next morning and could barely walk on it, and now it’s just all achy and sore. I have no idea what happened to it, but it is the one I broke 15 years ago. Is it just now coming back to haunt me or do I have some crazy foot problem like Plantar Fasciitis? HELP!

Oh, I hope if feels better soon! Damon wacked his ankle on a bolt thingy when we were doing the Captain America photo shoot and it still bothers him.
As for the plantar fasciitis, I had that until I started wearing insoles. It only ever bothered me when I first woke up in the mornings. I would walk on the sides of my feet until the pain subsided.
Hope it heals soon!

Alli – oh owie for Damon, but that photo shoot was totally worth it. You got some great photos from it!

Yikes! Hope it gets better soon – none of those casts look particularly fun. My left knee pops all the time, its annoying, and I’m not really sure what the issue is. I think it is from putting my feet up when I sit on the couch and use the laptop.

Irish – that sounds like a “laptop” injury! LOL!

Hannah – it’s feeling a “little” better today, thanks.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think it’s plantar fascia. I’ve had that, and it has nothing to do with the ankle and the pain is usually centered in the heel of the foot.
I woke up and CRAWLED to the bathroom for a year..LOL
Dunno how you did it Alli… walking on the sides of your feet!! I’m getting phantom pains just thinking about it!

It does sounds like an ‘internal inflammation’ or a case of brittle bones. Anyway, you should see a doctor Jules, don’t wait!

I was just thinking that you might need to have a bone density test done. Are you drinking milk and taking calcium pills/vitamins?
[Reply]
I would have said the same thing 3 years ago as Karen did. But now, I do not recommend milk – it isn’t healthy when the cows are diverted from their most natural diet of grass and forced-fed corn. Not to mention the lack of “exercise” and kept injected steroids.
If you look into your bible, the milk mentioned refers to either goats’ milk or camel’s!
Because of this, we are unlike the 90% of Singaporeans still drinking milk. Every 2 weeks, we have goats’ milk delivered to us. Why 2 weeks? It is more expensive than cows’ milk but we figured we do not want to pay for high healthcare costs in our old age.

Christina, crawled to the bathroom for a year? OH NO! OWIE!

Kelly – I ordered my X-rays from California, so once I get those I will make an appointment.

Karen – I’ve never had one but I guess it wouldn’t hurt. I do get a lot of calcium in my diet, and I’m pretty sure it’s enough. My nails are rock hard! LOL!
