I just can’t leave my hair alone. The color is bugging the crap out of me (although I have forgotten that it will fade out to a lighter color in a few weeks) so what did I do? Well I chopped it off so I could have bangs.

And Now I Have Bangs

Yes, the same bangs I’ve been growing out, chopping off, growing out, and chopping off for almost my entire life it seems like. My hair stories and pictures would make great promotional items for some hair product company because I’m certain that I have used almost every.single.one out there in my 40 some years. With good and bad results of course.

I should really start telling “stories of the hairdresser” in my blog.

I have curly hair, and one time when I was with my hairdresser I just casually said, “So I’m thinking of getting bangs.”

He immediately said, “NO!!!!” and that was that.

I’m totally afraid of my hairdresser, but I do love him oh so much. Expensive, though.

It’sfunny that when you begin a makeover it becomes impossible to stop doesn’t it? When I dyed my hair, I decided to cut it over and over again, then had it permed, then straightened, etc.

I akin my hair changing addiction to my sudden need to get yet another tattoo… I sometimes need to fight it or i might regret it!

I went through a phase with my hair where nothing I did made me happy. Now if I don’t have spiky hair, life isn’t right. Good on you for keeping up the attempts to get it perfect!

I’ve found that you need to do small changes one at a time, otherwise you’l look in the mirror and wonder who that stranger looking back at you is.

I love them on you, me I look horrible with bangs so I will never have them. I think that everyone goes though a thing with bangs, they want them, they don’t, then they want them again, my sister does that.
