Since Sarah Palin was so close to my house yesterday, and I had nothing better to do (i.e. unemployed) I decided to brave the masses (7000 people I later heard on the news) and drove the 1/4 mile up the hill to see her.

I stood in the hot burning sun for 2.5 hours surrounded by people who did nothing but talk shit about Obama and the democrats in general. I mean really!! You’ve had to have seen a great movie recently, or read a good book. It’s hotter than the surface of the sun out here, let’s talk weather! Let’s make small talk people!

When she finally came on stage, she said she was so pleased to be in Las Vegas and on the UNLV campus. WHAT THE HELL? Did no one in her campaign know that they were in Henderson, and about 10 miles from the UNLV campus?

Now Sarah, you were in Henderson, Nevada at the Henderson Pavilion not UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada. See the map? You were at point A, and UNLV is at point B.

Sarah Palin doesn't know where she is when she speaks at rallies

I know I pay a lot of attention to details, and I probably obsess about them more than other people, but after hearing her say that, I really didn’t listen to another word that came out of her mouth. I got a few pictures of the event though, and the view from the Pavilion is amazing. I bet it’s really pretty at night. I wonder what Russia looks like at night from Sarah’s front porch.

Very, very funny!

I imagine it gets crazy traveling on the road so much, and one could get confused about where they’ve landed. But you would think there’d be someone on the stage or something, reminding her where she’s located.

Aww, give them some credit- nobody outside of Vegas knows what Henderson is. She was probably thinking, “If I go to the top of the Stratosphere, I’ll be able to see the wetbacks crossing the border from Mexico”.

OMG WHY DON’T WE JUST PUT THE BORDER PATROL UP THERE AND THEY CAN JUST PICK THEM OFF!? I AM SUCH A GOOD PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE.

Oh, that’s funny.

Traveling must be exhausting and confusing, but seriously, can they not put a note on the podium?

Reminds me of Obama’s “57 states” gaffe. Good to know they’re real people and not creations of Skynet. ;)

I tend to take everything a politician says with a grain of salt (and usually some liquor to go along with it- this campaign has made me an alcoholic.) However, I’ve found that since Governor Palin’s arrival on the scene that she tends to challenge credibility on such a scale that I’ve quit even trying to figure it out any longer. Abuse of power(Troopergate), intimidation of suboridinates (Troopergate), falisication of documentation (receipts submitted to state of Alaska regarding childrens expenses)- isn’t this the kind of stuff our last Vice President did that led us into a war with Iraq? I don’t want to go into this again with a person willing to bend the facts any way to suit them where the end justify the means- no matter how cute they are.

She’s not related to Gearge Bush by any chance is she? Sounds like the sort of gaffe he makes all the time.

LOL! I have been reading some funny stuff today, all about Palin. You’ve got to admit, after this election the world will be a less funny place.

That is, if they don’t get elected. If they do, then the fun goes on! :D

Robyn – I can come up with one or two ;) Both candidates scare the hell out of me. I’ve got 13 days to decide which is less scary ;)

Stephanie on 22 October, 2008 at 12:47 pm

I personally think they are both equally as scary. They are just a mouth piece for the real government. They are our choices so we think we have a choice. I feel like it doesn’t matter which one you pick, because things aren’t going to change for the better with either. Everything is just going to get a whole lot worse, and I’m scared. I hope my feelings are wrong, but evidence points towards things getting bad.

Some other options for voting are for Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin.

Governor Palin adds humour to my day – she’s the first thing I google each morning. I’m a detail person like that too and it’s probably not fair but that’s the way I am. Fear not – I suspect you will end up with a far better leader than us Canucks. Without a doubt regardless of who wins he is guaranteed to be more interesting than our PM

I never know how people on tour keep it all straight, since they have to be concentrating so much on their shows/speeches. A note on the podium would be a great idea, but then the press would get a shot of it and make it into a big deal :(
