I have noticed that a lot of bloggers who were initially enthusiastic about “Tweet My Blog” have later uninstalled it.

I didn’t like it because I don’t like how aggressively it brands itself.

Also, I think the affiliate program was extremely poor. The oto just did not complement the plugin at all and I imagine it converted very poorly. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the oto product itself and had bought it when it was first offered as a WSO. But it was not something of interest to the majority of bloggers and it was expensive out of proportion to the plugin which is free. It was just a poor fit as an oto.

If the oto had been more appropriate I might not have minded the aggressive self promotion of the plugin.

Actually the only thing I really like about “Tweet My Blog” is the name! Too bad such a cute name was wasted on such an unappealing product.

Alli – I ended up removing this from my blog, and went to a simple WP plugin that just tweets when I post a new post. This particular one had too much stuff in it that I didn’t want to mess with.

Amy – it’s not for everyone, but I’ve found myself reading blogs just that way. I watch for new blog post tweets and go read.

I might be in the minority here, but I hate the Tweets that come through with just a link to people's blog posts. Amy´s last blog post..Three Cups of Tea

Alli – it’s pretty cool, and you only get the bar on top when you click through from Twitter. It doesn’t load on your blog all the time.
