On our way home from camping last week we stopped at Milo’s Cellar for lunch. I have been there once many years ago and remembered how good it was so I wanted to share it with Michael. He was impressed, and it was just as good as it was the last time I was there.

We sat outside because the weather was just beautiful, and not windy like it was on the lake.

We started out with drinks. I had my FAVORITE Blue Moon, and Michael tried something new called Wyder’s Dry Pear Cider. He liked it. I’m not a fan of ciders at all.

I was presently surprised at the menu that catered to our non-meat diet. In fact there was more non-meat items than meat items. Michael had the Athenian sandwich and I had the Southwestern Vegetarian sandwich.

Athenian – $8.00

  • Avocado, sprouts, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, garlic
mayo, and melted brie served on a croissant.

Southwestern Vegetarian – $8.00

  • Avocado, roasted Anaheim peppers, sprouts, tomato,
roasted red peppers, baby greens, garlic chipotle mayo and
    provolone served on a ciabatta.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere of the outside seating was so relaxing, and the service was excellent. They even have water bowls for your dog if you happen to show up with your best friend for lunch.

Wow, that food looks tasty. Blue moon is one of my favorites as well. Can’t beat it with an orange slice.

Wowzers! The food sounds (& looks) delicious. That’s cool they gave Mike a bowl of water to have with his lunch. hahahaha

I used to love Blue Moon until I got an old one that gave me a healthy slug of sediment with the last mouthful. I think it just sat too long somewhere. It has taken me a while to “allow” it back into my fridge. I had a pumpkin beer this evening that was interesting!
