I don’t know if it’s age or what, but my eyesight has quickly gone downhill in just the last year. I’ve had to use reading glasses for about a year now. I need them when I read books, or any small print like food preparation instructions on boxes and cans, and even my paper bills. The reading glasses that I picked up at the pharmacy have worked well for this so far, but now my eyesight is getting worse. I can no longer read street signs, or even the speedometer on my car dashboard. And I swear, this just happened over night! As soon as our new health insurance kicks in I have to make an appointment at the eye doctor and see what is up. I’m fairly certain that bifocals are in my future.

I’ve been seeing more and more people talking about getting their eyeglasses at Zenni Optical, so I was looking around the site the other day at cute frames. I’m a little skeptical about buying frames without trying them on first though. I know that my head is weird shaped and I just can’t pick a frame off the shelf and expect them to fit perfectly. I did read the testimonials though and the majority of them seem good.

They have frames starting at only $8.00, but I didn’t see anything I really liked in that price range. I did find these funky ones that are only $39.95, and that includes the frame and the lens!
