2008 Blogger Boobie-Thon It’s that time of year again to snap a picture of your boobies and submit it to the girls at Boobie-Thon. Every year, for the past 6 years these girls have worked around the clock generating awareness for breast cancer research and the Susan G. Komen foundation.

It’s a given fact that men like boobies, and men will pay to see boobies. Heck even woman appreciate a great rack once and awhile.

I’ve always thought this was such a unique idea, and a great way to raise money. Just look at the totals they have raised for breast cancer research over the years.

EDIT 2008 $9,300.00!!!!!!

2007- $5,666.00
2006 – $9260.50
2005 – $9240.40
2004 – $8696.30
2003 – $7045.45
2002 – $1610.00

There are a few ways that you can participate in the 2008 Blogger Boobie-Thon:

  • Submit a “covered” picture of your breast to be displayed on the public website.
  • Submit a “bare-boobie” picture of your breast to be displayed on the private website.
  • Donate money for breast cancer awareness.
  • Donate $50.00 or more and receive password access to the Pay-Per-Boobie Gallery which hosts bare-boobie photographs.

And yep, I donated my picture again this year to the covered gallery. Go see if you can find me. HA!

It sounds like a bit of fun. I will consider this, but I had a bit of trouble finding info on the website. How long is it open for?

Hey Julie, it’s wonderful you are taking part in the boobie-thon. The name alone will surely make it a tremendous success!

Great idea for raising awareness of this awful disease and credit to you for participating. My wife had a scare last year after her initial scan and she was recalled, she was absolutely petrified for a week until she had further investigation and was given the all clear.

Thanks Heather! Are you going to “donate” also?

Gina – the main area that isn’t password protected is “covered boobies.” My picture is just cleavage in a low cut dress ;)

Karen – I’m happy I could bring awareness to you, now go donate! :)

Mark – been there done that, and it is the most awful waiting period I have ever gone through. I’ve had four scares in the last 10 years, but knock on wood, I’m fine, and I’m happy to hear your wife is also.

Real unique way to make money for research. I’m so slow that I just learned about it today. I did write a post about donating directly to Susan G. Koleman site though. I’m trying! Thanks for your effort my friend!
