I love my teenager Hey guess what! I’m not liking my life right now at all. I’m pissed off. I’m angry, and I’m confused. I keep searching for that freaking teenage handbook on my book shelf to refer to, but it’s not there. Who the hell took it, and can you please give it back?

My oldest son who I wanted to kill but didn’t is back up on my list of choking victims. If he was an ugly kid with no redeeming qualities this would be easy. But he’s a handsome young man with a scary charming personality that keeps me from acting out on my homicidal thoughts.

Inhale…exhale…inhale…exhale…and please know this is hypothetical and don’t call CPS on me. Geesh!

There are times when children behave so horrible you just can’t stand it… sounds really familiar…

I’m sorry, Jules. :-(

Just remember that this, too, shall pass. I promise.

My daughter is small and I never wish to get angry at her, I know that bad things she sometimes does are not done to hurt me, she just don’t understand they are bad. Still, sometimes when some of my belongings get broken or when she behaves as if her mom’s words mean nothing to her (like, I don’t hear you, I will do as I have decided anyway) – i get really upset… If not my hubby who calms me down and makes me discussing things and explaining what is right and what is wrong with her, I would end up numb and with my throat sore from crying:( Sometimes it seems to me that children are some other planet’s dwellers… at least they tend to behave like ones…

He will grow up to be a wonderful, responsible young man – don’t forget it’s a teens job to drive their parent’s crazy – it’s in the handbook. ((hugs)) hey visit my blog for a smile.

How my parents did not kill me when I was younger is beyond me! As Deb said, I’m sure he will grow up to be a great man.

Maybe I’m overconfident, but I’d like to see my kids pull a fast one on me. I’ve got about 9 years until the first one transforms to a teenager….

Since I think I know what this is about, all I can say is that you better be there to help me when my kids are that age :)

Hopefully it will pass and he’ll get his act together soon enough to be out on his own. It sounds like you gave him a good kick in the rear to push him down the right road.

Loretta, his 18th birthday can’t come quick enough for me. I’m sure the Marines will kick his ass harder than he ever imagined.

My GF’s 17-year-old daughter came home with a tattoo on her ankle/foot last weekend. What could we do? Can’t erase it. She’s grounded, but does not care – the ink will still be there after we let her leave the house. She *WILL* be moving in with her Dad for college years.

Jack – Oh that’s a tough one with a tattoo, like you said there is nothing you can do about it now. How did she get a tattoo at 17 without a parents permission anyway?
