free audio books

I have yet to get into audio books, but my friend Amy talks a lot about them, and how much she enjoys listening to them on her daily commute to work. I decided to look around for some online and came across a nice service that offers free audio books. Well, they are not free forever, but you do get your first 14 day membership trial for free. Has anyone tried Audible.com before? What do you think of their service?

nhoung – please report back if you do. I don’t like trying new things unless I can get reviews from others.

Hi Julie! Remebering your concern for pets recently, I just wanted to point out that Squidoo is giving $80,000 this month to charity. Each vote earns that organization $2. No strings attatched. I’m desperately trying to drum up some votes for Longhopes Donkey Shelter or The Wild Animal Sanctuary. They both desperately need the income right now. We can all spend 30 seconds of our time to go and vote (only one vote per person) and spread some positive energy in to the universe. No sign-ups, no strings, everybody wins. Just follow my website link if you’re interested.

I got “The Gospel According to Chris Moyles” and I loved it! Audiobooks are cool but can be expensive so enjoy the free ones!

We have used audible in the past and it was a good deal as long as we remembered to fulfill our subscription every month! We stopped because it was money we couldn’t spend every month (you know, food wins out). But I loved listening while I was at work or on the bus.

Hmm, I’ll have to try this one out myself. I’ve been trying to find a good source for audio books to listen to on the train, so hopefully this one’s good. :)

Hi Julie! I dont know about Audible that much but what I do know is that newfiction has a couple of really funny stories that I enjoy.

I believe it’s best to visit when you’re feeling down because those audio books really put you in a good mood again.

Thanks for your post. Really interesting stuff here.
