Aveeno Positively Ageless There is one beauty product that I have used everyday for quite sometime, and I could not live without it. It’s called Aveeno Positively Ageless. It’s a daily moisturizer with SPF 30, plus all the extra goodies that make my fine lines and wrinkles less noticeable. It has a patented advanced sun protection system that won’t break down in sunlight. It’s the first major advance in sun protection in 20 years.

Not only does the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies make great products, but have you ever really looked at their website and read about the healthcare innovation research and products?

Fun facts:

  • In 1920 one of their employees, Earle Dickson, came up with the idea to create bandages in different sizes like we have today.
  • In 1879 by Dr. Joseph Lawrence and Jordan Wheat Lambert created Listerene Antiseptic as a surgical disinfectant. They soon discovered that it was great at killing germs in the mouth, making it the first-ever antiseptic mouthwash.
  • In 1897, they started producing and marketing disposable sanitary napkins for women.
  • The GeneSearch Breast Lymph Node (BLN) Assay is the first gene-based test that detects the spread of breast cancer into the lymph nodes. Time magazine named it one of the top 10 medical breakthroughs of 2007.

The Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies has a long and impressive history in making products and for all of us, and it’s best said in their company credo. “Our Credo challenges us to put the needs and well-being of the people we serve first.”

I’ve never tried Aveeno with sunscreen but it sounds great – of course MY lines and wrinkles aren’t FINE any longer – so it make take a LOT!!! Will look for it when I go shopping :)

Heather, so true! There isn’t anything “fine” about my wrinkles either, but I do notice a difference using this moisturizer before going out every day.

They started making disposable sanitary napkins in 1897. I can’t (and don’t really want to) imagine what was used before that.

I love Aveeno products. I usually use them in the winter when my skin gets really dry so I’ve never tried it with sunscreen.

I get more and more scared of skin care products. I mean, its only a matter of time before the T Virus is created and we all become zombies, with really nice skin!

Hey Julie!

Well, I hate to confess, but I never use ANYTHING on my skin except soap and water. Maybe that’s why my many “fine” wrinkles are soooooooooooo clean! :)

Hellan – I have sensitive skin also, and I just love how the baby stuff smells. When I baby sit, I always sneak a squirt of the lotion for my arms.

The T Virus is from the movie/game series Resident Evil, and in the movie it starts off as an attempt at a new skin care product.

The way the bottle looked in the movie is how alot of the newer Olay and Aveeno products look, and it kinda freaks me out.

BTW, The T Virus made people into man eating zombies. Just to let ya know.

Aveeno is one of the best, I have used it for a good number of years. The only thing that I like better is Victoria Principal and her line of skin care products…but they are way expensive.

Aveeno makes a really nice Oatmeal Powder soak for the bath. I’ve used it a lot with my kiddos for heat rash/diaper rash/ bug bites when I’ve been out of/too lazy to make my own colloidal oatmeal.

To be honest, they are excellent products. And also the healthcare innovation on its website is really useful.
