Man I was so happy when I fit into my jeans the other day, but now I am sad. I pulled them out of the dryer this morning and discovered a rip right by the pocket.
Now I know my butt isn’t THAT big that it caused the fabric to stretch and tear like that, right?? Sigh…I hope not anyway.
I was planning on wearing these tonight on the PhotoWalk also! I guess it’s better than having to slap on acne scars cream or something. At least with my new found sewing skills~~*cough cough*~~ I can sew that right up, put on a long top, and wear them anyway.

Those are Levi’s, and not too old judging from the pic. I used to temp in the customer service dept at the Levi’s plant in Henderson. Bring them in (St Rose and Executive Airport Drive) or call 800-USA-LEVI to mail them in and they’ll replace them, if they’re not too old. That kind of tear is considered a defect.
Kirsten – there is a Levi plant on St. Rose? WOW, I had NO IDEA! My husband already sewed that tear up for me though.
Unfortunately, the back pocket of jeans is the most likely place where a tear will appear due to the stress on the fabric, not due to size, but rather to the cut of the jeans. Normally we don’t see the first start of the tear, and then it gets washed, which results in what happened above.
