free audio books

I have yet to get into audio books, but my friend Amy talks a lot about them, and how much she enjoys listening to them on her daily commute to work. I decided to look around for some online and came across a nice service that offers free audio books. Well, they are not free forever, but you do get your first 14 day membership trial for free. Has anyone tried Audible.com before? What do you think of their service?

Well my darling little puppy moved out with his mommy on Sunday. It was time for her to go back home with her Grandmother for awhile so my son can focus on the things he needs to focus on like school, and staying out of trouble. It’s not like she is gone forever, or the little chihuahua, but J.R. needed some time alone to think about his bad choices. I’m hoping she can bring him to visit sometimes. I’ve been pretty stressed out about the whole situation and losing weight by the day even without taking fat burners like Lipovox. I loved that little dog, and it’s my fault I got so attached to him. But who could resist that little cute face? Yes, I cried myself to sleep last night.

Aveeno Positively Ageless There is one beauty product that I have used everyday for quite sometime, and I could not live without it. It’s called Aveeno Positively Ageless. It’s a daily moisturizer with SPF 30, plus all the extra goodies that make my fine lines and wrinkles less noticeable. It has a patented advanced sun protection system that won’t break down in sunlight. It’s the first major advance in sun protection in 20 years.

Not only does the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies make great products, but have you ever really looked at their website and read about the healthcare innovation research and products?

Fun facts:

  • In 1920 one of their employees, Earle Dickson, came up with the idea to create bandages in different sizes like we have today.
  • In 1879 by Dr. Joseph Lawrence and Jordan Wheat Lambert created Listerene Antiseptic as a surgical disinfectant. They soon discovered that it was great at killing germs in the mouth, making it the first-ever antiseptic mouthwash.
  • In 1897, they started producing and marketing disposable sanitary napkins for women.
  • The GeneSearch Breast Lymph Node (BLN) Assay is the first gene-based test that detects the spread of breast cancer into the lymph nodes. Time magazine named it one of the top 10 medical breakthroughs of 2007.

The Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies has a long and impressive history in making products and for all of us, and it’s best said in their company credo. “Our Credo challenges us to put the needs and well-being of the people we serve first.”

We meet up with some friends on Tuesday night at this place called Fado Irish Pub. At first I wasn’t going to blog about it because I thought it was just a local place, but after looking at their website and learning there are several locations around the US, I decided to. If there is one by you, I highly suggest you should try it out.

For starters, the place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

They have mystery sauce also:

Make sure to get a life insurance quote before you go though. It gets so fun in there that people fall off their chairs.

And the food, oh.my.gosh. I had the Chicken Boxty Quesadillas (without the chicken) made from grilled chicken, melted pepper jack and pico di gallo between two crisp boxties drizzled with re-chili aioli, served with cabbage salad and sour cream. I was so hungry that I totally forgot to take a picture of it, but it was to die for!
