Well the endless days of summer are over, and the all night marathons of playstation 3 are coming to a close. School starts tomorrow bright and early, and I’ve got a freshman and a senior entering back into mainstream school. I really liked them in Independent Studies, but they are ready to hang out with the rest of their friends in school. Hopefully it will go well.
I’ve got a few events I’d like to highlight that happened this summer:
But tomorrow, or maybe later tonight, I have a pretty big announcement to make. It’s just the cherry on top of a long and fun filled summer.

Have you all seen the trailer for the new movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua coming out on September 26th? Oh it is so cute, yet again I am a sucker for talking animals in a movie.
It’s a story about Chloe, a ritzy Beverly Hills chihuahua who is pampered with the finest things Rodeo Drive has to offer like Juicy Crittoure, Doggie Styles, and diamond Festina watches. Okay, that last one is more for the dog owner, but you get the idea. Chloe gets lost in Mexico while on vacation, and is trying to get back to Beverly Hills.
See even mi dulce precioso chee’ WOW wa likes the movie.

If you’ve been paying attention this past week, you’ll know that I’ve been on a cleaning spree, trying to de-clutter my house. I use to be really good at not getting to this point, but I’ve been slacking in the past year, and damn does it feel good to get rid of it all.
As I work my way through rooms of the house, my kitty LBK, always seems to follow me around, making sure I am cleaning and purging to her liking. HA! She made sure to drag a couple bustiers out of my closet in the process. I guess that’s a sign that a woman of my age shouldn’t be hiking her boobs to her chin anymore. LOL!
Here are a couple of cute pictures of her getting all up in my business.

I am horrible when it comes to Christmas. I always wait until the very last minute to buy gifts, and all that does is cause unneeded severe stress and anxiety. This year I have vowed not to do that, and start my shopping early, like NOW!
I asked the boys, and Michael, to start making a list for me, so I can plan and prepare the way I want to. The boys can’t seem to come up with anything, claiming it’s too early, and the things they want may change by then. Michael on the other hand has quite the list going. He picked out a Rubis slanted tweezers with a magnifier thingy. Apparently he wants to make fires with it when we go camping. HA! He’s such a mountain man.
When do you start your Christmas shopping? Do you start early in the year, or wait until the last minute?

Despite having a horrible cold, I’ve been full of energy this week. I’m going room-by-room, throwing out stuff I don’t want and cleaning like a mad woman. The house is looking better and better by the minute. It makes me happy to have a clean house.
Last night I put J.R. and his friend Austin to work. They climbed up on the kitchen counters and dusted the top of the kitchen cabinets, and the ledge that holds all my knick knack stuff that runs along the ceiling in the kitchen and the family room. They did a really good job, but they were both sneezing like mad. Man it gets dusty up there!
See the lovely light fixture? The globes got busted when they had an air soft gun battle INSIDE MY HOUSE while I was away shopping one day. The bathroom lighting fixtures look the same, and were also part of their madness that day.
Since I couldn’t throw the kids out in the trash, I threw out the air soft guns instead. Grrrrrr.
