I love your sense of humor and your style of expression. Kingston, my lovely golden lion, was saved from an abusive acquittance about a year and half ago. My daughter and I thought that his bad behavior was due to the suspected abuse and so we thought in time and with lots of love he will learn to trust again. I am proud to say that we have made a tremendous amount of progress with Kingston, but he still puzzled me with his odd behavior like the ones your describe above. Recently, when my daughter said that she suspected autism, I just began reading about it and IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW! Now, I know how to deal with him better...I've even made a sort of a "hugging box" for him to retreat to when he feels stressed and it works great!
