My mother sent me a picture of where I grew up today.

snow in Iowa

It looks pretty, but I sure don’t miss it.

I miss smoking though. HA! Day 4 today…

On this day..

NO WAY! You did not grow up in Cedar Rapids! I grew up in Michigan but when I was 19 I met a dude from somewhere near there and I would drive out to his house about once a month to spend a weekend there. One time we ate at an AWESOME Chinese restaurant in Cedar Rapids! Very cool though!

That’s what my house looks like right now. We are suppose to get anywhere up to 10 inches of snow today.

We used to get snow like that here but the past several years we hardly had any snow at all.

I’m still doing the blast furnace thing, Jules, but I’m pulling hard for you on this one. Just be glad you don’t have to go outside and stand in snow like this to smoke!

That photo looks like my area now. I grew up near Lake Ontario, and we used to get 3 or 4 feet per storm. Well, THEY still do. ha.

Congrats on quitting smoking! Hope it goes easy for ya.
