Time sure does fly when you’re having fun, and I am having an AWESOME time being married to my husband!
It’s that time of year again and today we are celebrating our second wedding anniversary! It seems just like yesterday that we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary, so this one kind of crept up on us.
We have no plans because we are broke as hell, but we did joke around that maybe we should go to Del Taco and get our favorite Crispy Fish Tacos, and discuss our current health plans. LOL! We’re so romantic.
He’s got to work on making us millionaires all day, and I’ve got back-to-back doctor appointments, so I imagine by the time the evening rolls around we’ll share dinner in bed while watching a movie together. It’s okay for now, but once we’re rich he owes me big time!
Love you baby! Now and forever, and even more when you are rich!

About a month ago I wrote about the contest I entered to become an IZEA Insider and I got the news this morning that I won a position! I am super stoked, and I’m just waiting for the email from Ashley (IZEA’s Internet Marketing Specialist) to confirm all the details.
Here is more information on what I will be doing as an IZEA Insider. One of the main things I need to do is build a crew of bloggers that will help me promote IZEA. Do you want to be on my crew? Just leave me a comment on this entry, and I will get more details to you as soon as I get them.

What’s your favorite cereal? Mine happens to be Cookie Crisp, but I don’t think I would get in a bathtub full it. Thank goodness we have people in the world like Ted Murphy who will do just that, and donate 52 boxes of said cereal to charity.

He is holding a contest for one lucky winner to win a bathtub full of cereal, or a years worth (52 boxes) on his blog. He’s also helping out a local charity by donating a years worth of cereal to a local food bank in Orlando if his blog post receives 500 comments.
So get over to Ted’s blog and leave a comment on his bathtub full of cereal post, and help him reach his goal. If I happen to be the lucky winner, I will be donating my cereal to the food bank here in Las Vegas. You won’t be seeing me in a bathtub full of it, but here’s a video of Ted in his.

I’ve been approached by a PR firm that represents the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty, to help spread the word about the Dove Self-Esteem Fund’s new campaign Real Girls, Real Pressure.
For us women (as most of my readers are) we as adults have felt the pressures brought on by the media to look a certain way, carry a certain bag, or wear a certain brand of shoes. Now subtract our years of wisdom and imagine what these media images are doing to our young daughters. The pressures are real, and they are affecting these girls lives in negative ways.
Real Girls, Real Pressure: A National Report on the State of Self-Esteem
In response to the self-esteem crisis, Dove is launching its largest effort yet to bring self-esteem programming to girls across the country and to encourage everyone to make a difference in the lives of girls. This new initiative is part of the Dove Self-Esteem Fund goal to reach 5 million girls globally by 2010 with self-esteem programming.
Here is an example of the self-esteem programming and what the workshops can do for these young girls. It’s very moving, and really shows how special these girls feel after attending it.
For you parents with young girls, wouldn’t you want them to attend that workshop? I’d be scrambling to find one in my area if I had daughters. You can visit Campaign For Real Beauty to download the free self-esteem building tools for girls, moms and mentors.
Dove Self-Esteem Fund Blog Giveaway
Please help Dove spread the word about this growing self-esteem crisis by helping me spread the word. In return, I will be holding a random drawing for one lucky winner to win ALL THREE of the following prizes.

“Who needs a flu shot? I don’t need no stinking flu shot, hell I NEVER get the flu.” Yeah, that was me bragging up the internets about two weeks ago. What’s that saying about karma never…ahh never mind. I feel like flipping shit, and stop laughing and pointing your finger at me.
I spent most of the day in bed yesterday thinking I was just tired and I needed some down time. As the day went on my nose got stuffy, and I got a headache. I tried to sleep but my body was having none of that. I was freezing, then I was on fire, then I was cold again. I got up today thinking today was a new day and I would feel better, especially after some hot coffee, right?
Wrong…my head is going to explode, seriously it feels like pressure is building up and the plane just keeps going higher and higher, even though I am begging the pilot to stop. I really should have had Michael go to the pharmacy for me before he left for work. If you’re in a hotel in las vegas reading this right now call a cab, stop and get me some medicine, and tell the taxi driver to head to Henderson. I’m going back to bed. See you in about 5-7 days.
