I know it’s a little early for New Years resolutions, but I decided that I needed to make a change in my life over the weekend. I’m not 100% comfortable sharing what it is exactly right now, but some general support from everyone would be greatly appreciated.
I’m a little excited about it, but I’m mostly scared. I’m fairly certain I can accomplish my goal in the end, and that is exciting, but I’m not sure how hard it’s going to be for me while I’m trying to reach it, and that part scares me.
I guess that’s pretty normal. Change is always scary, but the outcome holds beautiful promise, so I need to stay strong and get to that point.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
It’s cold today, so we are having our first fire of the year in the fireplace. The little baby kitty has never seen a fire before, and she is loving it! The Macy’s Day Parade is blaring on the television, and the marching bands are FANTASTIC! They really take me back to high school with great memories of our marching band. The roast is in the oven, and the turkey is getting ready to join it.
I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with a lot of love and laughter, and of course good food.
You might remember me posting about Dexter a couple months ago, and how I was going to get the DVD so I could watch it. Well I got the first season of Dexter on DVD, and I am a HUGE FAN! In fact, the whole family watches the show religiously now after I called our cable company and added Showtime to our channel line-up.
The first time we sat down to start watching the DVD, I watched about 6 episodes back to back. Michael actually stayed up the whole night and watched the complete first season. I slowly caught up over the next few nights, and then we watched the second season DVD as well. That had 4 episodes on it, and we were all caught up by the time our Showtime was hooked up. Now it’s part of our DVR recording list. We got a cool Dexter t-shirt as well, with the DVD’s.
Dexter Morgan is a blood splatter expert working with the Miami police department. When he’s not solving crimes, he’s committing them, by murdering the type of criminals that deserve it. He’s hell bent on cleaning up all the thugs in Miami, from the sex offenders, to the child killers. If psychotic intelligent serial killers are your thing, you’ll love this show! I hope it last for many seasons.

I probably have the worlds worst sensitive teach. I also passed this trait down to my youngest son Justin. Whenever we drink anything hot or cold, our teeth just ache. We have both tried several different brands of toothpaste for sensitive teeth, with no luck, including Sensodyne. It usually last about an hour, then we’re right back where we started. It just doesn’t give much long term relief like you think it should.
I recently got a free sample of Biotene Sensitive toothpaste. I’ve been using it for about three days now, and I am already noticing a big difference in the sensitivity of my teeth. In fact, my morning coffee didn’t hurt my teeth at all, and I’m always grimacing when I drink hot coffee. I’m pretty excited about this stuff, and as soon as my free sample runs out, I’m going to go buy some more.
Now that I know it works, I’m going to have my son Justin try it out. Not only does it have Xylitol, an agent that helps prevent cavities, but it also helps prevent canker sores and mouth irritation. You can get Biotene sensitive toothpaste at your local pharmacy like Walgreen’s, CVS, Rite-Aid, and Long’s Drug.

Yay, it’s Monday! I love Monday’s when they follow a good weekend, and especially if the work week is only 3 days long!
Yesterday was our first wedding anniversary. We didn’t have anything planned, and thought we would just play it by ear. We thought about going to the movies, but decided to stay in and just catch some movies on cable. J.R. worked crazy hours, so I was busy shuffling him to and from work.
We watched Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo again, which is always great for a good laugh. We also caught the action packed Mission: Impossible III. I thought it was really good, and now I want to see I and II. Michael has seen them all, and he coined this one Mission Retarded III. LOL! No, he didn’t like it.
We ended the night by getting take out at Lucilles BBQ, which was absolutely delicious, and had a picnic on our bed while we watched The Zodiac which was slow and boring. We both dozed off for a bit watching it, but that could have been from our full bellies also.
We got a card from my mom in the mail, with a lottery scratch ticket in it. We were all excited scratching it off, but we didn’t win. It was still fun and exciting though. Thanks mom!
Over all, it ended up being a nice day, and I really enjoyed it.
