I probably have the worlds worst sensitive teach. I also passed this trait down to my youngest son Justin. Whenever we drink anything hot or cold, our teeth just ache. We have both tried several different brands of toothpaste for sensitive teeth, with no luck, including Sensodyne. It usually last about an hour, then we’re right back where we started. It just doesn’t give much long term relief like you think it should.
I recently got a free sample of Biotene Sensitive toothpaste. I’ve been using it for about three days now, and I am already noticing a big difference in the sensitivity of my teeth. In fact, my morning coffee didn’t hurt my teeth at all, and I’m always grimacing when I drink hot coffee. I’m pretty excited about this stuff, and as soon as my free sample runs out, I’m going to go buy some more.
Now that I know it works, I’m going to have my son Justin try it out. Not only does it have Xylitol, an agent that helps prevent cavities, but it also helps prevent canker sores and mouth irritation. You can get Biotene sensitive toothpaste at your local pharmacy like Walgreen’s, CVS, Rite-Aid, and Long’s Drug.

I try to offer alternate solutions to sensitive teeth, but there’s always the risk of biting.
