Zappos On 60 Minutes

My husband spent most of his day at work on Thursday being filmed by the 60 Minutes film crew. They are doing a story about Zappos.com culture, and wanted to film one of their parades. Yes, Zappos employees have parades. LOL! These parades are done by individual departments, and they parade all through the company spreading employee moral.

The CEO had a contest to see which department would be picked to do the parade for 60 Minutes, and Web Development, along with HR won the honors. Human Resources did an Octoberfest theme, and Web Dev did a bug theme. Get it? Software bugs? HA!

Here is some pictures of the Zappos parade and the 60 Minutes story is going to air on October 21st.

And I just had to post Zappos.com CEO dressed up in his best woman Lederhosen outfit. How’s that for a boss?

Wow! What a great place to work! Of course, being the shoe queen, I would be in heaven. Be sure to let us know when it airs so I can watch 60 minutes.

Oh that’s cool that your husband works there! That’s my dream company! I will be applying there every 3 months until they finally hire me! I used to work for Esprit, and when I went to Zappos for an interview, I felt like I was back at Esprit - but we didn’t have parades.

Just saw that segment on 60 minutes. Now I know why the shoes I see at their on-line site are 20% more than I end up spending. Party on.
