Something is wrong with our kitchen sink, and I don’t know what happened exactly. It stopped turning back and forth between the two sinks, but somewhere down the line, someone was forcing it to turn, so the entire bottom of it is loose from the base, and I’m fearful it’s going to just strip off there, and water is going to shoot everywhere. I’m sure it’s just the hard water we have has built up in there. I tried to spray Lime Away on it over the weekend, to see if I could loosen it up a bit, but it didn’t seem to work at all.

It’s time for a new one. I want the same kind again though. It’s a Moen faucet, and the section where the water comes out, also is the hose. You just pull it out from the base, and it makes it really easy to rinse out large pots. I guess the best place to look online is Faucet.com, as I know exactly what I need, it will be easy to order a new one.

Gosh, I didn’t realize it’s been three days since I have updated. We’ve been pretty busy, as Justin has been sick with strep throat all week long. This weekend he’s had horrible headaches, and has just been lying on the couch. We’re dosing him with Tylenol to keep the pain in check, and he just got up from the couch to play video games, so I think he’s on his way to feeling better.

J.R. is with friends out on the lake, boating and inner tubing. I almost begged him if I could go also, but then decided I would be disappointed with the answer, “no mom, it’s just the guys,” so I didn’t say anything but, “have a good time.” HA! Spending the day on the lake sounds heavenly though, and I’m glad he’s getting to enjoy it.

Michael and I went out to dinner Friday night to that really great bar I told you about once before. It was just as amazing the second time around, and we had a wonderful time. But the real fun started when we got home. *wink*wink* We’ve been needing some alone time for awhile now, and it truly was just what “the therapist ordered.” (If we were in therapy that is).

We got up early Saturday morning and had breakfast. Then we hiked the Pittman Wash. I got new hiking boots, so I needed to break them in before we did any serious hiking in the mountains. I just love them, and they are going to be perfect. We’ve had a lot of rain lately, so there is flowing water in the wash that we had to cross a couple times. The water just beaded off my boots. PERFECT!

Today we spent moving my computer desk to the music room. I’ve been camping out on the couch with my laptop so I can see the TV, but it’s just doing a number on my back, and my mouse hand/arm. I’m all settled into my new desk, with Michael at his desk just a few feet away, and the TV directly in front of me through the arch way into the living room. And this setup passes the most important test. We can both lean back in our chairs, and our lips can meet for a kiss. PERFECT!

Through all the superficial things that happened over the weekend, there was some much needed positive connection happening between Michael and I, and we truly needed that to happen. And as long as we can recognize that we need to do something to get back in sync, and the things we do actually do, sync us back together, then all the world is PERFECT!

Alive Blog Directory I wrote about Alive Directory before and how big they were growing with tons of blog submissions on a daily basis. They are an up and coming blog directory, and should have pretty good indexing soon. I love how you can list your deep links with them.

They have recently launched their Webmasters Blog called Alive Blog in August, and there is already some really good content there for blog owners looking to increase the traffic to their site, and information for other blog directory owners. I had to pass this one on to a friend of mine that runs a similar blog directory. I think there is a lot of good information there for him.

Self image plays a big role in my life. Good, bad, or indifferent, but that is how I have always been and I don’t think after 42 years I’m going to change much. When I look in the mirror, and I am happy with how my hair looks, my face, and my body, I just feel better about myself as a whole. My spirit is higher. My confidence level is higher, and generally I just feel more secure. That might sound shallow to some, but getting old sucks, with body parts falling south, and weight gain coming on faster than I can blink an eye. I’m just not having a gracious time at it, like all the women in the vitamin commercials are.

I’m going to begin with my weight. At 5’7″ I am weighing in today at 144 lbs. This is just 6 pounds shy of what I weighed when I was nine months pregnant with my children. And it is a full 10 pounds that I have gained since my surgery in May. I know it’s well within the range of what a 42 year old woman, at 5’7″ tall, should weigh, but it’s heavy for me, and I want to lose 10, if not 14 pounds. So 130 is my goal and I think that’s reasonable. I decided to do what I did to lose weight after having children. Slim Fast shakes, and Lean Cuisine meals. It’s worked twice before, so I’m hoping to get results again. I’m also adding in evening walks, and vowing to not eat fast food for lunch, ever, EVER again.

When I bought my first Windows machine it was a Hewlett Packard with Windows 3.1 on it. I had no idea how to use it, but I learned pretty quickly how to run this photo morphing software that came loaded on it as bonus software. I would scan my images in with this HUGE flatbed scanner, as I didn’t have a digital camera at the time. Then I would morph pictures of the kids. They were little and they loved watching it on the screen and we got a lot of good laughs out of that program.

Well as you know times have changed and even your Grandmother has a Dual-Core processor, with high speed internet, and a digital camera. And with the high speed internet comes fun downloadable applications to play with like the Morpheus Photo-Morpher. It’s really easy to use, and fun to boot. You just choose pictures, place the dots around the image (almost as if to crop it) and click play. It’s really that easy, then you can send the finished product to your friend you just turned into a dog. HA!

I was a little nicer and morphed my friends baby, Devin Danger (yes that is his middle name) from the minute he was born to now when he’s one month old.
