Halloween Express

It’s that time of the year again to start thinking about what you are going to be, or your kids for that matter, for the spookiest night of the year, Halloween. It’s been quite awhile since my kids got dressed up and went out trick-or-treating, so it’s all about the adult parties, and the adult costumes in our house now. It seems like the pirate theme is finally starting to die down a bit, thank god! That was just getting a little old, even for me, a pirate lover.

corpse-bride-adult-costume I love this Corpse Bride costume, and have wanted to do that one for a long time now. I got the idea from a Playboy mansion Halloween party I saw on TV once. I could probably talk Michael into doing Edward Scissorhands with me. He’s almost got the hair for it without having to buy the wig. LOL! I just love Tim Burton, and here at HalloweenExpress.com we can get almost any Tim Burton character ever created. edward_scissorhands_costume

Not only do they carry Tim Burton costumes, but HalloweenExpress.com has a GIGANTIC selection of Halloween costumes for kids and adults, and the prices are really reasonable also. $40.00 for an adult Halloween costume, and $30.00 bucks for a kid. You can’t beat that! The only trouble you are going to have is deciding what to buy with all the Halloween costumes they offer. I must have clicked through a hundred so far, and there are plenty more to look at!

This is a sponsored post.

I’m just plugging away working my butt off, and trying to get ready for the Meatstock camping trip we are taking this weekend. I’ve got more laundry to do tonight, help Justin with some school work that he is behind on, grocery shopping, and packing. I’m going to split these jobs up between Michael and I, so we can get them done in a reasonable amount of time.

I could take or leave the event we’re going to, and the drive to get there is just too damn long, but Chelle and Ernie are coming with us, so it will be fun to hang out with them again in the middle of nowhere. They are fun camping buddies.

And it truly is the middle of nowhere. Just take a look at this picture…

Just imagine a big fire surrounded by a sea of tents, trailers, and campers. Now imagine a group of friends getting their drink on, and that will be us. If I don’t come back by Monday, I am lost in the desert. Or maybe not. Hmmm

My bedroom is fast becoming a place I dread for many reasons, but the main reason I dread it is because once I lie down in bed I can never sleep. My mind races a million miles a minute, and it’s usually about all the things I wanted to say during the day but didn’t. I’ll work on that mind part at some point, but right now I think I need new bedding. I’ve had the same set for a few years now, and it’s time for a change.

Did you know that the more calming your sheets and comforter are, the better nights sleep you will get? I’m not sure if I fully believe that, but at this point I am willing to try anything. If it means going and buying new bedding than I will. I am pretty desperate at this point. Terry’s Fabrics has some really pretty duvet covers also. In fact, they have some really unique and different looking bedding than what I usually see in the stores around here. I must investigate this place further.

Dexter I don’t have Showtime, although I have every other single channel our cable company offers. They charge an extra $15 bucks to have Showtime, and it’s not part of any packages. In fact when I was asking my cable representative about it, she actually told me since it wasn’t part of a package it was a rip off! For reals!

Anyway, I just heard of a show that’s already starting in it’s second season, and I’m kind of pissed I didn’t know about it. It’s called Dexter and it stars Michael C. Hall, from my all time favorite show EVER, Six Feet Under. The second season starts Sunday, September 30th, at 9PM. Dexter works for the Miami Police Department solving crimes by day. By night he is a serial killer, murdering and chopping the body parts up of all the bad guys. It sounds like my perfect type of show, doesn’t it?

If you’re already a fan, they just started a Flickr group where you can share the Dexter Love, and if you live in Las Vegas, make sure to head down to the Paris Hotel tomorrow and pick up your advance DVD with the first episode of Dexter season 2. They are sending me Dexter Season One on DVD, and I can’t wait to get it! I will make sure to report back with my review.

Do you have Showtime? Do you watch Dexter?

I ate healthy (no fast food) last week, and I walked after dinner at night. I ate good this weekend, and we took a very long hike on Saturday. I get into the office this morning and weighed myself. I gained 2.5 pounds. BOO! I’m not discouraged though, and I’m going to keep plugging along until I drop this weight once and for all.

I sent Courtney from Traveling Thoughts.com a picture that Michael took of me in the mountains a couple weekends ago. It’s not the most glamorous or happy picture, and I only had a little eyeliner on, but I for some reason I liked it a lot, and wanted to replace the flower with a picture. I think she did a great job, and I love how it turned out. I’m looking very thoughtful as I was listening to J.R. on the phone telling me about a job he is going to apply for.

I’m happy :)
