I’ve been thinking about getting my couch and love seat recovered. When I bought it used about two years ago that is exactly what I had in mind. I loved the style, but I didn’t like the fabric on it at all. Now that we have had it for two years, we are discovering that it’s just not that comfortable either. For one, we both can’t fit on the couch lying down together, it’s too narrow.
We might just start looking for new furniture. I like this north carolina furniture store, that also has interior decorators on site. Now if I could just afford to have someone come in and do that for me, my life would be complete

We’ve had a local company make custom slipcovers for our furniture that we can take off and throw in the washer. They’re fitted (complete with zippers and velcro) and no one can tell they’re slipcovers. Every time I wash them, people ask if we got new furniture!
