As I was pouring my morning coffee this morning, when something on the ceiling caught my eye. A super huge, black and extremely ugly roach. It was right above the fireplace, which is next to my computer desk, so there was no freaking way I was plopping down on the computer until that thing was gone.

I went in the living room and sat down trying to contemplate what I was going to do. Shortly after JR woke up, and came downstairs. I told him to go into the family room and look up. He came back out into the living room totally grossed out, and said there was no way that he was going to try to get it, so he woke up Michael.

Michael came out of the bedroom all blurry eyed, scratching his butt, and looked up at the thing. He went and grabbed the Swiffer and tried to reach up there to smash it. It was too high, so he had to stand on a chair. As he was approaching it, the damn thing let go, and fell to the ground, and ran into an open computer we have sitting in the corner.

He tried everything he could to get that thing to come out, but it was hiding up underneath the CPU fan. Michael went to sit down at his computer, and the cats sat here and batted at the computer, and stuck their paws into it trying to get it out.

I couldn’t even walk into that room, so I started cleaning my bathroom and did some laundry. As I was going back and forth, I would look to see if it had crawled out, and finally after looking several times, it came out. Michael grabbed a paper towel and crunched it up. GAG!

The moral of this story…have a cockroach roaming around the room your computer sits in, and you won’t plant your butt down in front of it for the whole day, and actually get some other things accomplished.

If I had a dollar for every time I had to kill a cockroach for my wife or the ladies at work I’d be a millionaire.

Icky!! I can’t stand roaches - they’re like little robotic bugs that won’t die! And killing them? No way - they’re too crunchy, and like I said before - they often don’t die. And how creepy is that, when someone you killed is moving??? Like on Practical Magic! hahaha
