At the beginning of last week another blogger, Skeet, that I truly admire, posted a tshirt on her blog that her friend Lee had created on CafePress. They coined the phrase “You Don’t Read My Blog Do You??” and made it into a tshirt.
I’m like the last person that will call with big news, and the last person to email it. I just blog it, so that phrase really hit home and I knew I needed to buy it.

It came today, so here I am. Damn tired, no makeup, and loving my new shirt ![]()

I’m pretty much convinced that buying my Sirius radio when they first came out wasn’t the best move. I should know better than to buy a new tech gadget when it first comes out. I’m on my third factory warranty replacement unit in just under 2 years. Actually I think I’m just not meant to have Sirius in the first place. Just last week Michael was putting his bike in my trunk, when something caught on the antenna and snapped the wire. I’ve paid for a two year subscription that I have used for about 6 months total. Sigh…
I originally got Sirius because I feel the censorship on the radio, and music in general, is total bull crap. I do know that censorship has crossed over to some of the Sirius stations, but those stations are not set on my favorites. I refuse to listen to them, even though I know I can get my Daughtery fill on them.
The reason I am writing this is because I haven’t had my Sirius so I’ve been listening to a local station here in Las Vegas during my commute. The most absolute worst example of censorship is played on this station at least 3 times a day, and it’s the Fall Out Boys – This Ain’t A Scene It’s An Arms Race. Okay, they bleep out the word god damn. I can live with that, and that is understandable. But instead of Arms Race, they say HORSE RACE! What the hell is that???? You can’t say Arms Race on the radio? It’s on every freaking news station on the planet, but you can’t say it on the radio?
It just eats at me, and I’ve now boycotted 94.1 – The Mix. I mean really. If your program director has to censor out the main point of the song, it’s probably time to just not freaking play it anymore!

We had a really good time Friday night for Michael’s birthday. I didn’t get home until 7:00PM because traffic was so bad, and I had to stop at the store. When I did finally make it home, I started dinner for the boys, and sat down on the couch. I almost fell asleep, but Michael was ready to go, and excited, so I forced myself to get up and get moving again.
We went to this new sushi place down the street that he and Johnathan found a couple weeks ago. It is really nice inside, and the sushi chefs were really friendly and having a great time with the customers. I actually found something on the appetizer menu that I could eat. Bacon wrapped shrimp (cooked) and bacon wrapped asparagus. They were so yummy, that I am going to make them the next time we have a party. Little, easy to make, and so good.
Steve and Lola came by the house later and we hung out talking and had the webcam going so Michelle and Ernie could join in on the fun virtually. Their baby is still pretty little, so they don’t get out much at all. We had a good time, and I woke up Saturday morning a little unsure how I got to bed. Apparently I had curled up on the floor in the living room next to Michael, and Lola fell asleep on the couch, so the guys just sat around talking while we were passed out. Well I was passed out, Lola is pregnant, so she was just tired.
I didn’t get much done Saturday at all. I had some work stuff to do that got canceled at the last minute on Friday, so we just sat around the house watching movies and taking naps. It’s crazy to think I could party like that every night when I was younger and still be fine the next day. Not anymore. I thought I was dying yesterday, but we had fun! HA!

I’ve been thinking about getting my couch and love seat recovered. When I bought it used about two years ago that is exactly what I had in mind. I loved the style, but I didn’t like the fabric on it at all. Now that we have had it for two years, we are discovering that it’s just not that comfortable either. For one, we both can’t fit on the couch lying down together, it’s too narrow.
We might just start looking for new furniture. I like this north carolina furniture store, that also has interior decorators on site. Now if I could just afford to have someone come in and do that for me, my life would be complete

I’m sitting here at work just starving! I ate a very light lunch, and my stomach is starting to growl again. We’re going to dinner tonight for Michael’s birthday, but I’m not sure where he wants to go exactly.
I’ve been asking him basically all day long where he wants to go, and I can’t get a straight answer out of him. I do know that he wants to eat sushi though, so since I don’t eat sushi, I guess I am drinking my dinner. Who needs hoodia when you go to a sushi restaurant? Just the look of that nasty stuff makes me not want to eat.
It’s not one of my favorites, and I would kill for a big steak and maybe a lobster tail right now, but he’s the birthday boy, and he gets what he wants, right??
