Every cat I have ever owned I got fixed almost immediately. I have never seen what a cat does when they are in heat. All this changed 3 days ago, so I did a little research online and this is what I found out about my dear sweet kitten LBK.

1. Your female cat may become unusually affection, and rub her hind quarters against furniture, other cats, and/or her favorite human. CHECK!

2. She will vocalize loudly, and this may go on for several days, unless she mates. CHECK!

3. She will assume a mating position: head down, forelegs bent, rear quarters raised to expose the perineum, with the tail raised and held to the side of the body. Her rear legs will tread rhythmically, as if walking in place. CHECK!

4. She may also spray vertical surfaces with a strongly scented fluid. She will accomplish this by backing up to the surface and raising her tail high. HASN’T YET!

I called the vet, they said to give her about another 3 days then they can get her in and do the greatest surgery on the planet to her. Poor little baby kitty. She just wants to get laid.
