Did you guys happen to catch the story on CBS Evening News with Katie Couric this past Thursday about the Payjr Visa prepaid card? The entire article is here. They are credit cards you can get for your kids ages 13 and up, that let the parents prepay the cards, and then monitor their children’s spending.
I think this is a good way to teach your kids about credit cards, and how to use them properly. With the Payjr Visa Buxx you can even have them personalized with your teens picture on them with their “Design Your Own Card” program. You can play around with the demo on the site, and add your teens picture to the card to see what it will look like.
PAYjr Visa Buxx, credit cards, teen credit
I don’t know about teaching kids about credit, but it’s a good way to monitor you childs spending. Thanks
I tried the demo at http://www.payjrvisabuxx.com and I must say, that is incredible! I wish my bank (chase) had something like that for adults…
Thanks for making the post, I’m signing my boys up today! I had never heard of http://www.PAYjr.com until today…
I’m with Ron, I think that it would be a great way to determine what kids spend on. And I’d like it for that reason alone! Jon
