I just gravitate towards people that love cats, and Christine (aka catmommy9) is no different. She’s an “ailurophile” and so am I.

She’s having a hard time deciding on what she wants to buy. She’s got three different things that she wrote about on her blog. She can’t decide, so it’s on your shoulders to help her. But your thoughts are not going unnoticed! She’s going to enter you in her “pick which one for me to buy “contest, and if you are chosen, you also get the prize you picked for her to win.

Her choices are:

All of these things would be a wonderful buy, but hands down, no doubt about it, she must buy Alton Brown’s “Feasting On Asphalt”!!! His show Good Eats is a constant battle in our house between me and my husband. Our DVR only holds so many shows, and he fills it to the brim with Good Eats episodes. I have actually missed episodes of The Office, because of Alton’s show on making soup. UGH!

I try to hate him for just that fact, but I can’t. I will sit and watch back to back episodes with him, because you know that when you go buy beef in the store, you must know which parts came from where, and just how many molecules of protein are in each piece. It’s a cooking geeks dream show.

Christine needs Alton Brown’s “Feasting On Asphalt”. Go tell her!

I have to say… I have no idea who those guy is, but this is the 2nd time today I’ve seen him referrenced so I may have to look into it.

BTW… coolest thing EVER… my wife and just switched to DirecTV (after being Dish and Tivo subscribers for 4 and 2 years…) and our DVR is friggin HUGE!!! I was looking at it last night and after missing over a weeks worth of ‘my stories’ i’m only 13% filled… LOL.

but I do miss Tivo. The original is better, IMO.
