Back in the day, my kids were really into paintball guns. JR got a Spyder for his 12th birthday from a paintball store online. I remember searching and searching for this particular one he wanted, and I finally found it. It was either that one or a Tippmann, but he finally decided on the Spyder.

He really got into it, and there was a paintball park near our house that I use to take him to. He would get so beat up by the older kids playing in there, but he had a blast. We bought him all the paintball gear he would need, a paintball mask, gloves, the hopper, and all the paintballs he could possibly need.

I remember the first time we took him to the park, and he wasn’t allowed to use the paintballs he brought. We had to buy them there. The manager told me the reason they did that was because some people would freeze the paintballs, so they hurt badly when you got shot with them! Not something you wanted to hear as your 12 year old son was heading onto the battle grounds, but it was a good safety measure they followed, and it made me feel more comfortable.
