Man, I feel like I am in middle school English again, and my teacher just asked me to write a poem. For some reason I always hated trying to come up with something for those poems, but once I get started, they normally just flowed out of my pen.

So here we are, sitting in class on a Monday morning, and my teacher, Mr. Gary Lee has asked me to write a poem starting with the first sentence Roses are red. Gosh I still hate this, but oh yes! I remember a poem my husband wrote me when we were first dating. This will have to do.

Roses are #FF0000.
Violets are #0000FF.
You’re a geek girl.
And I love you.

And being the good teacher I am, I am going to pass on this assignment to three of my best pupils.

This is the best Roses are red version I’ve read till now. Props to your husband for his originality.

Maybe it’s wise to let those you tag know that, if they link to my meme post at http://www.afewgoodnotes.com/2007/04/19/how-poetic-are-bloggers/ I can see their pingback and ad them to the list for some link love. I found your’s through Gary Lee’s blog, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to find everyone’s once this meme gets spread further.
