GPS systems are the tools that most people in the fleet management side of a company use to track their company vehicles. This reduces the chance of theft, in which lowers their cost for insurance. They also come in handy when the drivers need to be alerted of an emergency. These are all great points to implement them into your business, but let’s take this one step further, and closer to home.
I’m a mom, of a soon-to-be teenage driver. Let’s say I purchased one of these to put on his car, so I would know where he is at all times. I like to believe I can trust my teen, and I would never put this on his car without telling him. It’s just setting him up for failure, because all kids drive to where they are not suppose to at least once in their teen years. I know I did, and probably more than once. With him knowing it’s on there, the temptation will be lessened, and I think it’s a better outcome for him and me.
Check out the free demo to see exactly how it works.

What do you think about tracking your teenage driver with one of these GPS Tracking Devices? Would you tell him you were tracking him/her, or not?

can they also make a tracking device to attach to children’s clothes for just in case they get abducted? I think that would be cool, too.

I never thought of that! That would really be something cool!

I like the idea for clothes. But I wouldn’t put one on my car. I’m such a mean mom, I just say “no driving for you”.

heh then you have kids trying to steal your car while you are asleep. one of my friend’s siblings got killed that way. she snuck out after everyone was asleep to go see her boyfriend. on the way back she had fallen asleep at the wheel and hit a pole. i would like to think that something like this tracker would prevent those things from happening to an extent.

I think it’s not a bad idea, but I’m with you on telling kids that it’s there. Maybe it will keep them out of bad situations to begin with, if they know, rather than allowing you to “bust” them on it. I’m not big on the sneaky behind-the-back approach though.
Suni’s definitely got an idea… a tracking chip for a shoe or something when your kids are young.

that is a great idea, I think if a kid needs it then they need it you know… Like when I was a teen, my mom really should have had one of these, I never went were I said I was…. ![]()

I would totally do it. I’d tell my kids as well. One can never be too careful these days.

Dude. You’re going all Hulk Hogan on him. LOL!

I think it’s a great option….not all kids are as trustworthy. I’m not sure I’d use it, but if I opted to…they would KNOW it was there.

I like the idea and I would tell them. The point is to help lessen the temptation, not the do the “Ha! I got you!”
