I had my ultrasound done this morning. It was an internal one so she poked and prodded a little more than I could handle. I kept my cool while I was in the exam, but I cried like a baby on my way home. I was in pain, and I came home and forced myself to sleep. All.day.long. I go back on March 14th to see the doctor, and decide what my course of treatment is going to be.

The big news in Las Vegas has been about MySpace. Our local news had a list of all the new teachers in the Clark County School District, and they searched on MySpace for them. 20 percent of the new teachers hired for the 2006-2007 school year have MySpace pages. One teacher right after another’s profile came up on Myspace. Most of them were okay, but some of them were shocking to say the least. Some of the teachers had their students listed as their friends. Some of the teachers had pictures of themselves in provocative dresses at the local clubs. Some of them had comments from students asking if they could come to their house for some private homework help. Most of these profiles were set to private after the news channel did their investigation, but not before their students found them, saw their profiles, and added them as their friend.

I am a parent, but I am not one of those parents that have no idea about how MySpace works and what trouble my teens can get into on the site. Unfortunately many parents are not as web savvy as I am, and there is help in the form of www.myspacebooksforparents.com. The key is to educate yourself and know how MySpace works. The better educated you are the better you are prepared to react when your child, or their teacher, misuses MySpace.

Self Portrait Sunday It’s that time again for Cass’s Self Portrait Sunday. I’m a day late, I know ;)

This picture was taken by me with my camera phone while I was driving home from the auto repair shop. I was really happy, yet also worried that I just had to spend all that money to get it fixed. It runs good now, and I’m relieved to know I got it fixed before it burst into flames.

More big news is suppose to come out from PayPerPost in the next few weeks. They like to build up the suspense and make people wonder what they are up to. Personally I would like to see the current issues fixed before going on to new things, but that’s just me. I know they were looking for a VP of Marketing, and it took everything I could not to respond to the LinkedIn email that went out. Moving to sunny Florida sounded wonderful, but I don’t have any experience in big company marketing, so I quickly got over the thought. A girl can dream though, right? And then my dream came true!

I was excited to hear from Ted yesterday asking me to head up the PayPerPost.com Las Vegas satellite office. He wants to venture into the casino and entertainment advertising business and he figured that Las Vegas would be the perfect place. I didn’t get online yesterday at all because I was out looking at office space. The 6-figure budget he gave me was awesome and I found some of the most posh offices in town. I was looking at the front door of one of them and picturing the PayPerPost.com logo etched into the glass. It would look amazing. Very exciting things coming up in the future for them, and me!
