What I expected to be a nightmare, was anything but that. I truly had to pinch myself several times to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. In fact everything went so smoothly that there was no need to stop blogging here. I can import these last few entries within a matter of seconds.

First things first…

Movable Type 3.17 to Wordpress 2.1

1. I cleaned out any trackbacks or comments I didn’t want moved.
2. I rebuilt MT.
3. I clicked the export button and created a simple .txt file.
4. I opened up Wordpress, Import, chose the MT option, chose the file.
5. Done.

100% completely done. No errors, no problems, nothing. I’m impressed. Since they have the “5 Minute Install”, they should also have the “3 Minute Import.”

If you notice my site gone in a couple days it’s only because DNS is propagating, and I will be back shortly.
